Hmm, really? I've always seen it as opposite.

Someone would need to be attractive to you, in order for you to even make an attempt at getting to know them. But in this day, I think there'd be more approaching for a "hey, let's go on a date, then back to my place" thing than someone approaching and genuinely wanting to go out and get to know someone.

If I was maybe 300 pounds heavier, I probably wouldn't get guys biking by, and trying to get my phone number. I wouldn't get guys on the street wave at me all flirty-like. And instead if I talked with someone, I'd probably feel less that he just likes what he sees and wants to fuck.
