Naah. Even back in the day when they had the lil storefront shops, I remember walking into a couple of them, slipping my bill in the slot and the rasta behind the bullet proof glass turned me away. Dealers are really paranoid of me for some reason. I could walk past guys hanging on the corner, knowing they were selling, eye them like "you got any fuckin weed?" (telepathically), and no go. Maybe it's because I was fit and clean-cut. I don't look like someone who smokes. An acquaintance of my brother-in-law even said that I would be the last person he would guess smokes weed. When I was younger, I remember even asking some guys who were smoking weed on their stoop in harlem where I could find some weed, and the guys reacted snootily like I was trying to set them up. Maybe it's an appearance thing, but weed dealers are very cautious of me. Even the ones that my bro-in-law hooked me up with acted like they thought I was setting up a bust when we met up. And the weird thing is, for all their paranoia, they were ready to do deals in broad daylight, across the street from schools, meet in front of strangers' houses (inviting scrutiny) etc. Keep me waiting out there for 20 minutes, cop cars driving by, etc. If I were a weed dealer I would be much more cautious and circumspect than these guys were. (But I wouldn't be nervous about the associates of good customers.) And the kicker is if you're caught carrying a small amount the penalty is about $1000 I think. You'd figure these guys could afford that, so why the paranoia? Maybe they have records or something. But anyway, if you're talking about your average citizen, no, they don't know anyone who can get them weed. you guys are looking through the prism of your own social circles. In the "square" world, very few people smoke weed and the vast majority have no clue where to get it. Very few of my past girlfriends were weed smokers. Some even thought of it like hard drugs. I think most women think of it that way in fact. You'd be surprised how many people are uptight about weed.
ha! i am the complete opposite, i have people asking me if i got trees all the time. i never got why people always assumed i had that work. when i travel and happen to run out of what i bring with me i have no problem finding it. my dad says its cause i look like i push weight.
And the bad side of Weed... We now know the fires going on in Cali are a result of illegal weed plant growings. Then there is... Doctors blame bad batch of synthetic marijuana and Phish concert for the hospitalization of more than 60 people over Labor Day weekend By Ashley Collman, 2 September 2013 Authorities in Colorado believe a bad batch of synthetic marijuana combined with a Phish concert is responsible for the hospitalization of more than 60 people over the past week. Denver and Colorado Springs-area hospitals first started noticing more patients being admitted to the emergency room suffering from a bad reaction to the drug 'Black Mamba' last Tuesday. But that number grew to more than 60 over the Labor Day weekend, corresponding with a three-day Phish concert at Dick's Sporting Goods Stadium in Denver. 'Black Mamba', also known as 'K2' or 'Spice', is a synthetic form of marijuana produced when a chemical substance which mimics the effects of THC is sprayed on herbs. The drug used to be legal, but has since been outlawed in may states, including Colorado, for the sometimes fatal side effects and the fact that it can be 800 times more potent than THC. The synthetic drug can be purchased on the black market, or sometimes found in liquor stores marketed as incense. Head nurse Amanda Puhal of the University of Colorado Hospital has worked in emergency rooms for 11 years, and says she has never witnessed an outbreak this bad. Denver Health Medical Center has reported patients being admitted screaming and violent - completely out of control. Bad batch: Patients have been admitted to University of Colorado Hospital, above, and others with reactions such as hallucinating or worse - not breathing Bad batch: Patients have been admitted to University of Colorado Hospital, above, and others with reactions such as hallucinating or worse - not breathing Others have been admitted unresponsive or having seizures. Doctors have put several patients on life support and some are in comas. 'There have been reported fatalities in other states,' emergency room doctor Jeffrey Sankoff told 7News. 'In our cases, abusers have been out in traffic, they've jumped off buildings. Agitation to the point where they're totally out of mind.' :smt107 Medical toxicologist Dr Kennon Heard said he wouldn't be surprised if someone dies in this outbreak. 'The truth is that these people are sick enough that if they didn't get health care, there's a good chance that some of them wouldn't have made it,' Heard said. While Denver doctors say it's clear that there's a bad batch of the synthetic drug being distributed, the Phish concert this past weekend may also be to blame for the spike in emergency room visits, as the band's performances are known to incite marijuana usage. ****** To much money in weed monster now. They are going to destroy it's herbal and positive properties - along with its therapeutic reputation, before long.
