Remember your eight grade year and the exams you had to take in order to pass? The basic reading, math, science, and social studies were all covered in order to give students a more well-rounded education. Well, there's a test which was uncovered in Kentucky, which dates back to 1912. In it, there are questions, which could be found here: 1912 Exam

You'd be hell bent on having questions like this on your practice ACT/SAT exam, but not in a regular class nowadays. We've simplified the education system so much, that we are incapable of really putting personal accountability on the forefront and not take the initiative to be ahead of the game. I understand that time doesn't seem very much on our side nowadays, but it's perfectly reasonable to suggests that with that level of questioning in 1912, we'd all would fail.

No doubt a foreigner can pass that 1912 test.
