hmmm... I was nice to her when she called, yet didn't lead her on by calling her back

I think I did exactly right. Should I have just cut her off cold?

    ^^That's it right there

It would've been kinder to cut it off. It seems like you were playing with her....you weren't going anywhere with it but by continuing to sweet talk her, you likely gave her the impression that you were. Jmo.

Eh. Not really. It would've been mean to suddenly stop picking up the phone. Instead I just left it up to her. I would've fucked her to let her live up to the stuff she was hinting at early on. Nothing wrong with that.

Yet I didn't value her much so I never called her, never gave her that impression. sweettalking is nothing, and frankly "playing with her" as you describe it, is fine

she played herself in fact. Saying "a white man would've bought me that" is as good as saying "don't you ever be foolish enough to spend a penny on me" That's relationship 101. Nothing wrong with toying a bit with someone who's coming with "schoolyard" stuff like that, especially a black woman who's like that.

But basically, I was just my nice, cool laid-back self. I was nice to her when she called, yet never returned the favor

^^That was the plan, right there

Really?!! I guess we'll have to agree to disagree. I just don't really find it desirable or necessary to play with anyone unless we both understand that's all it is.

suuuuure. For example, let's imagine I had the oppty to be become best buds with george zimmerman. he's lonely, and having a black guy as a friend would even help his image.

Sure george, I'll be your friend ...

I think what you're missing is that i'm not at all neutral to "that thing" (the race thing). It robs you of entirely too much and wants to rob you of everything and then some

If this chick wants to be its "new blood" (or thinks she can motivate me with nonsense like that) she gets no real respect from me.

Just like even the most decent "black male" gets no respect from the women (asian, latin, black, white) boggled by "that thing"

Race wasn't even playing a factor in my post. I'm just looking at her as a human being, a woman. :smt102

Right here is where women need to take a little responsibility and ownership for their own lives. If I'm the only one calling/pursuing...I'd catch on pretty quick and call it quits because it would clearly be a one sided deal. Can't complain about getting treated that way if you permit it. Jmo of course.

true. I'm not casting aspersions on you, I'm casting aspersions on the girl.

She's thinking that the race thing could give her some sort of leverage. Well, not with me - I just saw her tact as a red flag, the red light that says this ain't someone you're gonna wanna be holding hands with and having her back

On the other hand, I would've tapped that ass, because she was talking a good game in the beginning.

    Like that.

She's a human bean, but not all human beans are decent. She's a woman, and of course I like women - good women with robust minds, not overgrown children who are bad portents..

So, all told, basically my tact was "you going to try to devalue me because I'm 'the black man'? Oh well, now it's up to you to show how much you value me, because I'm not putting anything into this." I think I handled it perfectly well..

Anyway, sweet-talking someone when they call you, yet never calling them is far from playing with them.. All they have to do is stop calling, heheh :smt003

    no harm, no foul
