This is completely bias. Scott had already saw the kids committing crimes. It was three on one. Zimmerman had a weight advantage. Please don't use again. we can all google. There was not three trayvons.

What do kids getting caught breaking into cars have to do with Trayvon Martin? Did Zimmerman catch Martin in the act of breaking into homes? Where are you going with this?

I brought this up on a different site. Trayvon was confronted while doing nothing, not even anything justifying pursuit by neighborhood watch (even if there was such a thing, given the fact that they are not deputized law enforcement officials). The other individual confronted juveniles in the act of auto theft/burglary. Nevertheless, I'm not in favor of him taking it upon himself the responsibility for enforcing the law. But that is the important difference.

What does it have to do with Zimmerman & Martin? You're bringing in some situation where some dude shot some kids who were actually committing a crime.

So I'm not the only one seeing the difference in the two situations. Thank You.

Someone please remind people that George Zimmerman's father is an EX-JUDGE who sat on the bench I believe in that jurisdiction.

Zimmerman had a battery charge against a police officer reduced to a misdemeanor. Connect the dots.

GL, knock it off. This is ridiculous. Seriously.

In one thread, we ponder the question of black on black crime. Why are so many black men killing each other? In this thread, we have black men calling each other Uncle Ruckus, Uncle Tom, troll, klansman, telling another BM he's not even black....anyone else see the irony here?

Ches you probably don't see the difference in how some of these men act. There is a way to be conservative and well respected. The dude who posted a lot before the elections was rarely agreed with but very well respected imo. He presented eloquent and well thought out arguments to support his points. He used facts and was always kind about it.
Now you have guys like Archean Paniro and Stumper who start posts with disrespect and from the standpoint black people deserve any and all bad treatment. Have they said it in so many words? No. But when grown men try to tell me that a teenager walking home minding their business is being followed by a grown man with is the aggressor there is something wrong with their thinking. They have been unfair biased and rude with nearly all their posts.

You are talking about James Wilson, he was respected.

But you agree that Pani has been respectful in his video dialogue, right? Maybe there's something to that? I mean, it's a shame we can't be respectful just in writing, but maybe the vid makes the individual more "real" and so dialogue is more respectful?

And lest anyone say I'm butt kissing, I'm not defending Pani or anyone specifically. Just defending the right to hold a different view. But I agree, if someone starts off insulting, I suppose he/she gets what they deserve. But it goes too far, at times.

I believe, there are times when a person comes off as disrespectful simply because they don't share a commonly held view. They're immediately looked at as suspect. Conclusions are jumped to, insults are thrown, neg reps are given....why not stop and politely ask why he holds that view - how did he come to that viewpoint?

So what the hell is she trying to say? All I am hearing is that she helped someone get away with murder, and is now having after thoughts or wanted to cash in on the fame. She could have hung the jury or forced a manslaughter charge but instead what happened was she voted not guilty, and by her own admission knowingly let a guy get away with murder.

I honestly have more respect for the racists on the jury. At least they arent doing something like letting a murderer go, and then backtracking on that decision they made. B37 while ignorant as hell at least stood by her conviction on national television.

Loki, are there any sanctions available for jury members who admit to not executing their duties correctly? Does her admission even qualify as not executing those duties? The statement she makes about her being willing to hold out for a hung jury, does that count?

For reference, this is the thread I'm talking about (one you posted in, btw)....look at the comments in the last couple of pages. Both members got props for respectful dialogue.
