Prep time - Something that's explored a bit in the Dark Knight trilogy. That's one thing about Batman, in all of his variants is that he's fairly calculating. But in this case, they took a more realistic approach to the whole thing especially since it requires retaking back the entire city of Gotham.

The level of his intellect was down played for realism. No real detective skills shown, which is his biggest "power". Had they played the character in true comic book fashion he would have accurately been able to work out that Miranda Tate was the child of Ra's Al Ghul rather than Bane as he had assumed.

I remember meeting a black cartoonist who drew a comic book detailing the dangerous adventures of a woman named Keisha(I think). She is a woman who kills pimps, players, drug dealers and other fellows up to no good. She doesn't have any prejudices in terms of men, she'll date anyone of any race. And she will kill any man who does her wrong. They even made a low budget live- action movie of her. This cartoonist wanted to show a black woman who was not about the Hip-Hop culture. Coincidentally, the cartoonist resided in Broward county.

I couldn't decide due to the content. I leaned hard towards guy due to the violence and sex appeal but stayed on the safe side.

Does anyone here like Doctor Who? If you do, can you explain the appeal to me? Because I honestly don't understand why it's popular.

It's an acquired taste. Just like Star Trek or Star Wars. A lot of the appeal goes back to the old original series with it's high concept stories & low budget effects/monsters. Add to that how long the original incarnation lasted: 30 plus years.

Some cool character design sketches by artist Samir Barrett.

Doctor Who began in the year 1963 and ended in 1989. But it picked up again. I had only seen the following Doctors played by Jon Pertwee, Tom Baker(my favorite Doctor),Peter Davison and Sylvester McCoy. I got into Doctor Who before I entered the 8th grade. Like all sci-fi shows, it is an acquired taste. Every actor who played a Doctor brought unique touches. Some were very clever, some were very physical and can kick ass. Some were very funny in their own way. If you hear the word TARDIS, it is the time machine/spaceship that the Doctor travels in. TARDIS literally translates to Time And Relative Dimensions In Space. It is a fun show to watch. There had been two Doctor Who movies(Peter Cushing played the Doctor in Doctor Who And The Daleks). A made for televison movie in 1996. Doctor Who has about as much pull in the U.K as Star Trek and Star Wars has in the U.S. The Doctor has stood the test of time.
