I am inclined to agree with Christine. In such countries, we must be even more prudent what we do and especially where we do it.
Lots of european women live in thesxe countries without any problem.
But drinking with men is probably not wise.

 

It's unfortunate that women anywhere have to live under the yoke of men in this manner. I consider the modern freedoms of developed societies the baseline for what the human race is entitled to. I can't handle pre-modern societies at all.

What country is safe for women ?

 

She wasn't alone, she was with her husband.
I travel a lot and I usually travel alone.
I have never felt threatened going to Spain, Italy, England or the US for example.
I was a little uncomfortable in Turkey, where even the waiters at a 5 star hotel approached me cause I was alone.
I went to Morocco with a female friend and I don't think I would go there alone after what we experienced.

If your question means that you can get raped in every country in the world... yes, that's true. Most women actually get raped by someone they know.

But that's not the point of the discussion I think.

 

Western women are always going to attract attention in the countries you mentioned and you dont even have to be dressed sexy.
Its certainly not advised to travel alone.
But it would be a pity if we saw all muslim countries as being unfriendly to western women.
And as I stated earlier, lots of people visit countries like Dubai, without any problems.
