Now what I find interesting is how many members love to parrot Oriley not realizing he's talking about them too. He ne er makes distinctions. We are all the same to him.

That's a pretty broad brush stroke.....

Obviously I am speaking about those that don't, not 'no one' writ large. Rhetorical device. Sorry.

Guilty of making the same generalizations he accuses 'us' of.

List of entertainers boycotting Florida grows, validity questioned
    5:01 PM, Jul 23, 2013

"UPDATE: Additional information has come to light which sheds serious doubt on the veracity of a reported list of artists joining Stevie Wonder's boycott of Florida. Huffington Post reports that representatives for a number of artists on a purported list of musicians and performers boycotting the state of Florida in the wake of the George Zimmerman verdict said BTuesday that their clients have never heard of or been contacted about the list.

Despite reports that both Jay Z and Justin Timberlake have joined a Florida boycott over the state's "Stand Your Ground" law, organizers of the duo's concert at Sun Life Stadium on August 16 insist that the show will go on, according to ABC's Local 10 in Miami.

23 artists, so far. In the comments section, noone is unhappy about it. They are glad they are not coming to Florida. And they , in turn will boycott them by not buying their cds. Noone is winning here.

Nobody buys CDs anymore. Big name acts make money by touring.

The hypocrisy of these entertainers is so laughable. I wonder if they are boycotting the other 21 states that have SYG laws? Probably not.

i believe that once they are well informed....it will come to a crossroads ...money or morality

an entertainer could skip all those states and still do well.

They are boycotting Florida. A few years ago, Richie Blackmore, formerly of Deep Purple and Rainbow decided not to play in Florida. His band, a medieval themed band called Blackmore's Night(Night refers to Blackmore's wife and lead singer Candice Night). They perform at old castles and renaissance fairs and cities all over Europe. They love when people arrive dressed in the clothes of that age. Like cosplay. They weren't even finished with their show when the staff at the place began to break everything down while they were performing. It was rude. Blackmore's Night never played there or in this state ever again.

Totally! In the US in the entertainment industry, you really only need the big cultural centers NY, Chicago and CA to make it and some lucrative merchandising deals. That being said, it would suck to be a fan of theirs in one of the named states.

If it can be done to South Africa during the later and waning aparteid years, it can be done here.

Seminole County will not be seeing me anytime soon, unless it's driving to or from Orlando. I'll confine my Orlando-area activities to Orange County.

If you noticed, many of the performers are adamantly saying they didn't add their name, so the list is false.

Its 32 States. Stevie said he is boycotting all of the States.

The problem is, California has it, so he will have to leave it and forfeit the Grammys and any music award show. He could do it via Skype, I suppose.

GZ didn't use SYG. HE used classic Self Defense.
All 50 States have SD law. So they will have to leave the U.S.

You can not compare the systemic racist segregated brutality of Apartheid, to 100 aprox people walking using SYG, majority which were White victims.

I wonder why he hasn't boycotted Illinois......
