It's exotic, no? I can't take credit for it though - it was given to me by someone special to post, but I think they said The Guardians at the gateway?? something like that, I will check with him further if that doesn't make sense.

    EDIT: Got the info :D

Guardians At The Gateway, William Ricketts Sanctuary, Melbourne Australia.

in 2009 forbes stated the following in its article:

    The World's Smartest Cities

Further inland, Huntsville, Ala., has long had a “smart” core to its economy–a legacy of its critical role in the NASA ballistic missile program. Today the area’s traditional emphasis on aerospace has been joined by bold moves into such fields as biotechnology. Kiplinger recently ranked the area’s economy No. 1 in the nation.

    Profile

Huntsville is nicknamed ""The Rocket City"" for its close history with U.S. space missions. The city remains the center of rocket-propulsion research in the U.S. with many aerospace and defense contractors’ facilities located in the area. The city is home to the U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command and NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center, which is located at the nearby Redstone Arsenal. Huntsville is also the location of Alabama A&M University, Oakwood University, University of Alabama in Huntsville and the J.F. Drake State Technical College. Some of the larger events that take place in the city include the Big Spring Jam, an annual three-day music festival held in the Big Spring International Park in downtown Huntsville and the Panoply Arts Festival. The city is also home to the U.S. Space & Rocket Center, which exhibits the only Saturn V rocket designated as a National Historical Landmark.

bottom line....if you have a degree especially in science...physics , engineering ect... you will live like a king. Govt jobs and contractors.

Yes, it really is. The first thing I'm doing after my son's tournament is over is heading down to the DRB for a cold one so I can look at that skyline.

So in other words, San Diego is essentially paradise on Earth?

Raider, San Diego is beautiful. It looks small, but it is large. A place where there is a lot a person can do once there.

Ft. Lauderdale's skyline has changed a quite a bit. I cannot say it is as attractive as Miami's skyline, but hey, it's decent in the daytime.

Pretty much :D Its crazy beautiful out here, and those pics represent everyday life...we don't really have seasons so its almost always sunny and clear like that. I've got the beach 10 minutes away, the mountains (where it snows in winter) about 30 minutes away and the desert 30 minutes away. Couple all that with the sheer beauty of this city, abundant shopping, restaurants, entertainment and outdoor activity options and I think "paradise on earth" describes it quite well!

Lets be honest, the only downfall to SD is their football team :smt061

Yes, there's plenty to do out here! It's a huge city...there's something for everyone. It can be casual and laid back or it can be vibrant and lively, just depends on where you choose to hang out and what you like to do. Traffic sucks and its crowded as heck, but I know no different (I'm from LA so this lifestyle is ingrained in me lol). It really is an amazing city to live in (just stay away from the beaches on a holiday weekend...500,000+ visitors on an average day ).
