At 17 all I was doing was getting wasted and partying. A lot of people did that all through undergrad.

I consider a young man 21-27, not when you have 'teen' affixed to your age.

This analysis is spot on. A teen is no physical match for a man, unless he's some sort of high-density muscle mass freak.

And the last time I checked, teens are still children. Older ones, but physically, intellectually and emotionally immature ones nevertheless. In fact the modern conception of 'teenagers' is a relatively new innovation. In the past you were a child and then you were an adult. Teens are largely an invention of marketers to sell a new category of products.

You've just got to love the racism inherent in his (O'Reilly's) constant lumping of blacks together with the collective pronoun "they" to keep defining black people as a large, undifferentiated herd of beasts. There are no white "they"s, however. And their almost schizophrenic denial of historical reality leaves me speechless.

It is amazing how we are perceived in such a threatening manner. If anything, after 500+ years of rape, brutality and barbarism, the people of the world should have a pathological fear of Western Europeans and U.S. citizens, not the other way around. Black criminality is relatively new, post-1960s. When my mother was a child, African-Americans were terrified of white people and wouldn't say "boo". So this fear of us is pretty rich.

The brain isn't even fully developed until about age 25. Even by our own shotty legal system he was a child.

This murder spotlights the mess of a justice system that we have! It really makes me sick that anyone can not see the clear racial issues involved in our (in)justice system. It especially makes me wretch to read some of the comments defending Zimmerman in this thread. But then again I've always known that certain individuals (on here) claim to love black men when it's all complete bullshit!

 

Oh and btw....to any of the ladies who seriously have interest in ending up with a black man and having black children....you might want to wake the F up! It's a much different world than you may think.

NO CHILD EVER should be stalked and shot down for walking home from a store at 7-7:30 at night talking on a cellphone with Skittles and Snapple. Give me a F'ing break - I find it beyond baffling that there are supposed intelligent human beings that can even begin to justify this!

Seriously, thank God we have a justice system where you'e innocent until proven guilty, and that a person isn't convicted upon the volition of the mob and the rantings of an angry woman.

Yep. And I hope the teen who was hassled and arrested in that mall (see first video) sues and gets a nice chunk of change for his troubles

 

FH makes some interesting points. If I was trailing a stranger at night for whatever reason, and I had a gun - damn right, my mind would be on my gun and my hand would be halfway there

Zimmerman knew what he was up to. Everyone is giving this guy way too much credit, like the worse that happened was a tragic misunderstanding based on "racial profiling". The only racial profiling that went on was that Zimmerman knew that if he killed a black kid, they'd put the black kid on trial, which is exactly what happened.

 

So neither of you see any truth in what others have said regarding the gun and following someone. Take race out of it, isn't possible dude could have followed him with his gun drawn or his hand on the gun? After all he was following a possible perp at night I know I would. Its really weird that both of you are so quick to want to follow the letters of the law on this one. No basic ideas of right and wrong come up at all?
