Psst. Quit always trying to spin everything to make yourself look good. That shit never works. Everyone sees through that shit. Come on. Put something of substance up for once. Just ONCE. I'm begging you.

Running is what guilty people do. At least thats what the cops say. If GZ would have turned out to be an undercover cop, then what? Also by the age of 17 most of us guys know that if you run from bullies they will continue to come after you day after day. Again your question is more proof that this society encourages men to be punks. If you make running a habit you may run at the wrong time, sometimes running puts you at more risk to be killed.

We don't know if Trayvon jumped on him, or if Zimmerman got in his face and jumped him. The only account we have is that of the surviving participant in the fight. Trayvon can't give us his account. If I was Trayvon I would have run too, but an innocent teenager shouldn't have to run.

Naw. That's your domain. And what is your personal interest in the welfare of Zimmerman?

So basically just take the killer's word without question

Of course. He killed a black person. No biggie.

He would still be alive. But then again, what teen should have to fear being stalked by an armed stranger or facing summary execution just for walking down the street?

    I am Trayvon Martin..

The picture on the left was taken when I was 17 years old, had just graduated from high school, and really didn't know what I wanted to do with my life. Based on my appearance in this picture, you probably would have labeled me a thug or a trouble maker. I only graduated in the top 50% of my class and I took my ACT 4 times. A promising future in college doesn't look too well at this point does it?

But at age 17 (Trayvon's age when murdered), I didn't realize how much I would be judged and stereotyped for the clothes I wore and my physical appearance. Two months after that picture on the left was taken, I entered college and quickly realized that I wasn't pushing myself to be the best I can be. I hardly studied in high school but as as freshman in college I began to study daily. As a matter of fact, I did so well that I was able to participate in a summer medical internship at Yale University. I then went on to graduate from Prairie View A&M University Magna Cum Laude and in two weeks I will be attending Texas A&M Health Science College of Medicine to become a medical doctor.

The picture on the right is where I am now just four years later at the age of 21. The reason I am sharing this with you is because I COULD HAVE BEEN TRAYVON MARTIN!!! The defense team could have gone onto the internet and found pictures of me that were similar to Trayvon's pictures and characterized me as a thug. They would have then portrayed me as the aggressor and as a result it lead to my death. If that would have happened, then I would not have had the opportunity to reach my true calling, which is a medical doctor. My White Coat ceremony is in four days and it marks the next step in my journey. I could have been laying in a casket with a black suit, instead of of being in a white coat trying to save lives.

When I was 17, no one would have imagined that I would be doing so well and on my way to medical school. Who is to say that could not have happened to Trayvon Martin if he was still alive? He could have been the next doctor, lawyer, engineer, teacher ,etc.

My prayers go out to his family and friends.

Please share my story so people can be more conscious of their racial profiling. Everyone has the potential, as long as they are alive, to achieve greatness and make a positive impact on this world.

Again only in this country do we make the dead accountable for their own murder even if they were just minding their own business.
Why am I required to run when someone is following me with a weapon. Shouldn't they just not follow me or does that sound crazy?

You're black which means you should be doing ten times more crap than anyone else just to get your proper respect. And even when you do all of that and fools still don't show you the respect you've earned & deserve to get, it's your fault. You & that victim mentality of yours.....

Right. Why should he have to break into a sprint fleeing from everyone?

    This.

At his age and at my age now, I would've run out of pure fear. Being worried I might look guilty wouldn't even enter my mind. If someone other than a clearly identified cop is following me at night, I'm outta there. Not blaming Trayvon for what he did or didn't do - I wasn't there, I don't know exactly what he experienced. Just saying that my natural instinct would be to flee what I would interpret as a dangerous situation.

Fair enough, but you cant expect a 17 year old boy or any guy to behave the same. Some may, but it should not be expected.

You clearly have not been paying attention to the superior class of black males of this site. Not only should Trayvon Martin should have known to run away, but since he didn't he should have prostrated himself to that stranger with no official authority. Damn black victim mentality strikes again......

Again. When are you actually going to say something of substance?

The moral of the story is that unless you can get them to personalize the dilemma, put race aside, and bring them face to face with the moment of truth, you will never get these guys to empathize honestly with Zimmerman.
Ra, TDK, Goodlove, AndreBoba, and Stinkmeaner are all proud feisty men,
If anyone of them were cornered and pinned down on his back in some back alley on the south-side of Chicago......And a single younger, stronger, more agile teenage was on top beating their asses to near unconsciousness (My guess, regardless of an age differential with the assailant, is that each of these guys would immediately do what it took to save their own lives) .....Soul, Oregon Loki, maybe not so feisty, but more diplomatic (would perhaps try to get the young assailant to reason first )......Now some of these guys are fathers, husbands and family men and their lives are precious to their families and loved ones, but those lives would mean NOTHING to the much younger assailant.........When that much younger assailant is wailing you to sleep or pulling the trigger, he will not take time to assess your value.....You might have only a fraction of time to do one of several things : counsel, mentor or save your own ass........Stop the hypocrisy and be honest to your selves......

Can you actually make or get any points or thoughts you have across based on actual reality rather than these fantastic tales of fantasy that you like to weave around others?

Arch, your hypothetical is premised on the idea that Trayvon viciously attacked Zimmerman. There is no objectively corroborated account of this incident that supports his allegations, only differing eyewitness accounts as to who was on top of who during the brawl. No credible information exists as to who started it, nor is there any forensic evidence on Trayvon corpse (GZ's DNA, for example) to support the account that he viciously attacked GZ with his bare hands. If any person viciously attacked me or my family or friends, of course I would vigorously defend myself. I doubt I would use a gun against someone who does not have one. The way I was raised, using a weapon against someone who is unarmed was a coward's way out. But I think what some of us are saying is that we do not believe Zimmerman's account and believe that he stalked a teen and provoked a confrontation knowing he had deadly force at his disposal after being instructed not to.

And one more thing : Why do you still insist on disrespecting a dead child by continuing to paint him as a thug?
