I love how he is attempting to draw a correlation between the language you use and your intellectual capacity. This is ludicrous given the fact that she comes from a non-English dominant home. And the final statement Elder makes that if you get an education, ignore "negative people" and stay focused you will have no problems in the US was pretty rich. Trayvon was getting an education, ignoring ignorant people and staying focused.

 

Not trying to be adversarial here, because I mostly agree with you, but wouldn't the normal person who is being followed, turn & run the other direction? Esp at night? Maybe it's because I'm a woman, but I would run like h*ll if I thought someone was following me. That's the one thing that Trayvon did that didn't make sense to me - he chose to engage rather than run from GZ. Why?

 

Teenage bravado. And "no" that doesn't mean he was looking to get into a fight like some people have went out of their way to imply to make him the thug they want to believe him to be. Teenagers are always trying to appear as if they have everything under control even when it's apparent that they don't. Even the ones who you think should know better.

 

Maybe he didn't want to lead them to his house. Like they said there were robberies and home invasions in the area. Its very possible he didn't know where to run since hr was just visiting and wasn't aware of bis surroundings

 

It is now time to malign even the normally straight shooting, but universally respected Sir. Charles.....why...because his position is not popular or convenient right now.....

No because all I know for certain that can be confirmed outside of GZ's word is there was a fight but the circumstances that lead to the fight was completely on Zimmerman. Only when its a young bm can people find the justification for someone following him with a loaded weapon at night.
