I was on pinterest the other day and stumbled over a pin that praised the love for real fur. It made me sick to the stomach.

I'm an animal lover through and through and I get really violent thoughts when I see females praising the skin of dead animals.

I let them know how disgusting I think it is, and they called it "having a negative opinion about their pin".
Come on, that's like me praising rape or child abuse and saying I don't wanna hear people's opinion about it.

It's just a shame that animals don't have rights in this world that protect them from being hunted and abused.
If they did, we could do more than just comment, we could finally sue your cruel ignorant asses.

All you ladies who think you look so elegant and sexy in a fur coat.....FUCK YOU! You are nothing but heartless bitches! :smt013

    This is for you:

Never, ever, ever would I wear fur. I agree with you about wishing animals had more protection. Hurting a defenseless animal is a cowardly act and should be punished more severely than it is.

I never cared for the look, whether it was real or fake fur. But I feel like I have no right to get up in arms about it because I eat meat and have leather shoes/accessories (when I can afford them.)

LOL, I always wanted to do something like that.
My Mom ownes a mink coat that my Dad bought her in the eighties. I hate it and I'm glad she got too big over the years to wear it.
When my grandmother died 3 years ago and we went through her closet, I was shocked how many of those coats she owned. I dont even want to know how much money was spent on that and what else one could have done with it.
My mother and her brothers sold them.
If it would have been up to me, the money that came from that would have gone straight to PETA, the WWF or Sea Shepherd.

Our mothers' generation was different, so they are forgiven. Women and men today? No excuse.

Unless you are Eskimo or a hunter of food for example, and you use the fur of the carcass to keep warm, we have today way to many coats and jackets that resemble the look of fur, to keep us warm.

    Exactly!

The facts about how those animals are trapped and killed are just heartbreaking and the amount it takes for one coat .....:smt022

    Too much!

It's all for vanity, is what kills me. Do we really need to torture and slaughter them to wear their dead fur?

Fur coats look stupid on us. Who wants to look like a 70's pimp and hooker anyway........

You should see the comments on pinterest Bliss.
I saw one guy who had only boards about fur.
They were sorted by mink, fox, wolf.....
    And he has 143 followers!

    Here, that's him:

BTW, have you ever seen the 'Illegal fur trade in China' undercover Video?

(It's noted that The Chinese animal advocates who filmed it, risked their lives...)

It's so gut-wrenching horrific what they do to these poor wolves, dogs, and foxes...WHILE they are alive.... I made myself watch it so I UNDERSTAND the reality of where our fur (keep in mind also the fur on our feather parkas collars and hooded hats), actually comes from.

yeap- in the 8o's, 90's nobody was risking to go on the street with a fur anymore..they were bombed by all sides..at least in Europe. The whole economy of fur trade got ruined. Today some women start talking about fur Fashion and how beautiful it is again - an alarming turnaround..

I spend a lot of time on sites that educate about the meat industry and fur trade etc.
I can't watch those videos though. I saw one were they had a cat on some table which was still alive. I couldn't watch it. I know it probably would have haunted me for the rest of my live :(
I know they use all kind of animals for the collars, shoes etc. Once they coloured the fur, they are allowed to give it fantasy names, so no one will know it was a dog who died for their fur trim....

It's especially the women from Eastern Europe who brought it back I think.
The Russian women love their fur coats :vom:

Unless you can pesuade the Eastern European and Asian women on fur PETA will have a hard time for years to come.

I would never wear fur and am very judgemental about people that wear it.
If you accept animal cruelty for the sake of fashion I assume you're selfish and superficial.

When I was a kid, my mom had a fox coat and there are pictures of me in a rabbit coat when I was 4 or 5 years old.
My grandmother owned several fur coats.

I don't think there were any awareness back then on how these poor animals were housed and treated.

Today, there is absolutely NO excuse at all and its disgusting. Would not wear one to save my life.
