Huey Newton was always a badass. I always respected him for trying to feed the poor children of america and shaming this country into the program. I don't agree with everything he does but the man is fierce.
Yes in Florida. However, anyone who abuses SYG no matter their race or their victim's race, it's just a travesty, pure and simple.
Meanwhile...this lady here gets 20 years for firing a warning shot. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/05/19/marissa-alexander-gets-20_n_1530035.html
remember folks when a good guy and a bad guy are in a gun fight. the bullets go around as you are not good guy or bad guy
does anyone know what that prick Robert Zimmerman Junior does for a living he is very articulate in fact most like an attorney
All white jury: check White person that killed a black person: check Amerikkka and system of White supremacy: check What did you guys think the ruling was going to be? People that know racial politics knew he was going to be acquitted. It's not surprising but what i'm interested in is the response worldwide (the world knows about America and the racial problems. They also know how White Americans detest blacks).
I kept my mouth shut about the mostly white jury. You are suppose to be judged by peers. Just hard for me to believe that this was peers. Just like when I was on an all male jury during a domestic violence case. Even that wasn't all white. That being said from legal perspective it was the right call. not enough evidence. terrible but true. We all need to walk around with our video phones and maybe a gun. catch crap happening.
Just like Emmitt Till a White killer goes free with a young Black male's murder. There is a very long list of this and this is now the 21st Century. No question Fox News and other right wing websites are celebrating the verdict that a White male can get away with Mr.Martin's killing. I hope Mr.Martin's family cleans out Mr.Z's family in a civil suit. It is just shocking and I could imagine if O.J. was found guilty they would call it justice done. The most sad part about this was that Carolyn Wright the WW whom Till whistled at is still alive and will get away with it til her dying breath.
Im at the Dbacks game with the fam, will comment on this very sad but predictable verdict later. Until then, i will say it again, often times the law has nothing to do with justice
the defense would like to tell you this case is not about race but if you know the court system the two major influencers are money and race
Hate to say, but I'm not surprised about zimmerman's mom. 1. Most (not all but most) nonwhite women who marry white men are strident bigots. They use it to bond with their white guy, to make themselves more worthy. Plus they're often overcompensating for an inferiority complex and think hating blacks makes them more white. 2. Middle class and upper middle class central and south americans are almost invariably anti-black bigots - especially the "mestizo" and "indigenous" middle and upper class ones. The little brown people really overcompensate, and turn their hate on black people. Based on decades of experience, I don't presume any white male/nonwhite female couple are going to be decent to me. Not saying they can't be decent, but I know the racial politics all too well, and I wouldn't put myself out there trying to be social with them. Sound shocking coming from someone who dates around the rainbow, but I've seen too much to ignore the patterns.
First let me say andreboba, if I could rep you I would. System says I gotta spread it round. Black men, especially in florida, should STAY STRAPPED and prepared to shoot as soon as someone lays hands on you. The law isn't going to be fair to us, but that only underscores the fact that we have a bigger, more systematic problem than the ground-level wolves like zim... yes, right here in an age when we're waving flags and singing yankee doodle dandy. Haha -- we're begging to be patriots even as people have the tacit right to accost, yank around then kill our children, even as technology is coming to a point where eyes in the sky, spies on the web, genetic engineering, social engineering, etc. etc. is making any organized resistance more and more futile. But to Orejon's point. Yes of course, the episodic run on guns is invariably tied to the issue of race. 9/11? A run on guns. Why? This was back in the day when black men still had the reputation of converting to Islam, like mike tyson did, like a lot of black men often did in prison, like John Muhammad (DC sniper) did. Even rap artists were saying shit like Jeru the Damaja's line: "cause I blow up spots like the world trade center". I think they were less worried about osama than the fact that blacks might side with osama. Obama first elected? A run on guns. First thought in everyone's head was like that old eddie murphy routine about how the first black president would be dodging bullets - and what might ensue in the wake of it. The gun crowd use the line that they need their guns to resist government, but obviously it's about race. I watched a show recently where they had an old crusty gun-worshipper explaining why his ilk needs all their firepower. He trotted out the line about resisting government. Then when the show host asked him why other cultures abroad don't seem to need guns in the same way, he said something to the effect of "Those cultures are more homogenous, less diverse." Those fools have always horded guns in anticipation of race war. Guns and race have always been tied, since the days when they were blowing apart little indian children with shotguns and complaining how certain guns make too much splatter.
Agree 100%. And it's not just the idiotic nervous racists to worry about. let's not discount how assholes act when they think they can get away with murder. Also how they front, front, front, when they're on-edge, armed and scared. This verdict is going to haunt a lot of black male teens in florida. Maybe all over the country. People also see the stark and obvious spiritual grudge many white men have against "the black man" aaall over the internet, and try to act like they can't imagine how it plays out at ground level.
The 'law' just protected an overzealous killer. It's a good thing for America that they've effectively thrown the black community into disarray, otherwise there might be an organized response out of the community to this travesty.
Nah you weren't a fool. Black people want to believe in this country. Even I would like to. But realistically, we cannot. Especially black men. Ironically, we're now "americans" to all those out in the world who hate americans. But here at home? Not so much.
