no its not a stupid question. I personally would prefer my spouse/SO stay out of harms way because I would prefer my kids to have at least one parent instead of no parents. Why is that so hard to grasp?

I don't get it either but after reading the comments and people being mad that this didn't get the same coverage the TM/GZ situation did and the only reasonable conclusion I can come up with is, at least for me, was the way the police who are paid to be fair and reasonable reacted to the situation. Then again who really knows? Because if its just about selling "papers" this kind of thing would get a lot attention too. Maybe the media is responsible enough to know that when it happens one way people feel sympathy but if it happened the other way, as history as shown us, it might result in a lot more vigilante justice.

The bf's name is Timothy Sarcia, looked the name up. Philipino american is my guess. But w the name timothy, I would wage a bet on at least second generation.
But I don't think that is the explanation for not hitting the news. I wonder what happened news wise around the time this hit.

 

I understand that most men would want their SO to stay out of harms way but the way I see it (speaking about my ex) is that's the father of my children. I'd NEVER be able to stand by and watch/listen to him be hurt/killed. I don't have it in me. That may be stupid on my part, but my gut instinct would be to fight, not to hide. Again, I get your point Im just different.

 

In recognizing you're different maybe you shouldn't judge dude for being different.
I'm cool with praising heroes for their efforts but I am getting tired of a culture that teaches boys to literally throw away their lives over some notion of heroism that we don't ever require our girls to do. Not saying you did that but you seem to support it.

I normally get upset when people have that me me me attitude when it would cost them nothing to be a little more charitable and think of others. This is clearly way different than that.
