She was the mother of two small children, including one she was still breastfeeding, a witness said. BTW, they shot her....in her back.
Its really weird this didn't make national news. Was her bf black? The only reason I'm bringing up race is trying to figure why some stories are newsworthy and others aren't
no its not a stupid question. I personally would prefer my spouse/SO stay out of harms way because I would prefer my kids to have at least one parent instead of no parents. Why is that so hard to grasp?
I got shit in my house too but who says I'll get to in time? All it does is up your chances not make you invincible
but that story last week with the home invasion made national news I don't get why this home invasion didn't make news. Is it old hat now because it came up last week? The media confuses me
This was not a home invasion tho. Not that it explains why this didn't hit the news. BTW, thus happens in may
IDK if he was. Her baby in the pic is White. As for newsworthy, probably because it was a robbery murder. As for picking and choosing, I wonder why the national media never picked up on this sensational horrific double murder... Keep in mind, they are still going through the trials/retrials six years in! http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/01/07/christopher-newsom-channon-christian_n_2426358.html
I think I said her background. her b/f is hispanic. It wasn't caught on tape. so many reasons why it is not national news. all you have is a picture.
Not like the shit that we have down south, the shit we have is illegal up there. You dare take the red pill?? Muha muhaha ha ha:smt077
I don't get it either but after reading the comments and people being mad that this didn't get the same coverage the TM/GZ situation did and the only reasonable conclusion I can come up with is, at least for me, was the way the police who are paid to be fair and reasonable reacted to the situation. Then again who really knows? Because if its just about selling "papers" this kind of thing would get a lot attention too. Maybe the media is responsible enough to know that when it happens one way people feel sympathy but if it happened the other way, as history as shown us, it might result in a lot more vigilante justice.
didn't this event happen oustide of her home? Also, lets keep it real. If the B/f had an automatic or a sniper, he probably be hiding and firing:smt067
lol fair enough, maybe you know something about home defense I don't know. But like I said you gotta get to it first.
The bf's name is Timothy Sarcia, looked the name up. Philipino american is my guess. But w the name timothy, I would wage a bet on at least second generation. But I don't think that is the explanation for not hitting the news. I wonder what happened news wise around the time this hit.
I understand that most men would want their SO to stay out of harms way but the way I see it (speaking about my ex) is that's the father of my children. I'd NEVER be able to stand by and watch/listen to him be hurt/killed. I don't have it in me. That may be stupid on my part, but my gut instinct would be to fight, not to hide. Again, I get your point Im just different.
In recognizing you're different maybe you shouldn't judge dude for being different. I'm cool with praising heroes for their efforts but I am getting tired of a culture that teaches boys to literally throw away their lives over some notion of heroism that we don't ever require our girls to do. Not saying you did that but you seem to support it.
You're tired of this culture of "teaching boys to throw away their lives" for heroism, and I'm tired of this culture of me, me, me. You bitch 24/7 about how people are only concerned with what directly affects them, yet you support this guy hiding to save his own ass, instead of even attempting to help his gf? Whatever dude.
Lol you definitely aren't paying attention. You're comparing people taking the time to donate food to their local food banks or giving the homeless blankets to trying to fight off dudes with guns? So if he attempted and died as he most likely would have that would make it better? What if it were your son who was hiding? Would you be happy he was still alive or happy he had "tried" to do the right thing and died? edit: I normally get upset when people have that me me me attitude when it would cost them nothing to be a little more charitable and think of others. This is clearly way different than that.
