They don't care about Trayvon's rights. Why should he have the right to walk down the street on his way home from the store without being accosted by some stranger in the dark? Why should he have the right to go to the store for skittles and tea in a neighborhood someone else thinks he has no business being in? Why should he have the right to be a teenager who wears what the majority of teens wear and to actually have the hood covering his head in the rain? Why should he have the right to be a typical teenager who engages in the same activities and makes the same mistakes that other typical teenagers do? Why should he have the right to defend himself against an aggressive stranger (THE KIND OF STRANGER PARENTS WARN OUR CHILDREN TO BE LEERY OF) who is threatening his safety/life? Why should he have the right not to be shot down like a damn dog by some wanna be vigilante who targets him based on his looks (race/dress)? Why should he have the right to a life and a future without having someone steal that chance from him for no damned reason?




No one is saying to dismiss anything. What people need to do is to stop making Trayvon's "past" out to be more than it is. Do you consider yourself a thug since you did jail time in your past? My guess is that you would never apply that label to yourself, but for some reason you refuse to give that 17 YEAR OLD KID the same consideration you do yourself and pass unfair judgement on him based on stereotypical bullshit.

Then again, maybe it's because the defense made their little animation that "proved" Zimmerman's nonsense story (that anyone with common sense would never believe to be true). Truth be told, NONE OF THIS SHIT WOULD HAVE HAPPENED IF ZIMMERMAN WOULD HAVE DONE THE RIGHT THING!!!! The fault and responsibility is on him 100%, because it was his choices/actions that created the situation in the first place. Even if Trayvon beat his ass defending himself, Zimmerman brought that shit on himself. I don't care what nonsense spin anyone puts on it, the only one standing his ground that night was Trayvon, and it's a damn shame that he had his life stolen from him for no fucking reason. There is NOTHING that made Zimmerman's actions acceptable that night, and those who think otherwise should be ashamed of themselves IMO.

I really hate injecting myself into this long, downtrodden case, but here's a food for thought...

...there's a strong possibility that Zimmerman could be lying his ass off regarding his [lack of] training. Even if you took one week of MMA training, you'd have some knowledge on the basics on how to strike your opponent down. He took one year of it continuously and he went from a 1 to a scale of 10, which shows that he's fairly proficient in his self-defense.

He was in good shape, really solid shape, based on the videos. It wasn't until he stepped into the courts that we saw him gain a few pounds. But for some reason, selective memory often skews the person's so-called objective nature and instead inclined to still see this person as a victim.

And as a NHW member, he is instructed not to carry a weapon, much less use one, even if he has a permit to carry. He defied those instructions/rules and a young man died because of it. Race doesn't even need to play into it. GZ wanted to be a hero, plain and simple.
