Cant really say because to the best of my knowledge all the women that I have been with were born here in America. Even the ones that I know that were Irish/German or Italian, and I cant remember the last time I been on a date. I usually just meet someone and find myself hanging out with her at the beach, gym, a bar, or her place or my place for the most part. I guess a meaningful relationship would start with a date. :smt081 Kind of why I have been considering online dating, irl I am in a cycle of lust. Anyway, I have always had an interest in the cultures of Italy and Spain as well as the sexiness of eastern European women, and I imagine the beaches of Marbella to have similar weather to southern Cali.

 

I say we take a trip to germany on oktoberfest to see if you are right.

I am totally going to do that this October with my Best friend. I need the break.

 

Just to be clear, I was not generalizing American women, before marriage I dated multiple American women and I was always the first Black guy they dated, so despite the ample racism in America, it really depends on the individual. That being said, in my experience there is a very, very noticeable difference as a Black man when traveling abroad in terms of attention from women, especially WW. In my life, almost every time "I" was approached and asked out by a WW, she was foreign, rarely happened with an American WW, just my experience.

 

I absolutely understand that you weren't making any generalizations about American women...my comment was meant for the few here who have. My apologies for the confusion

I specialize in conflict resolution. So I can see both sides of the foreign argument. I have to agree with dark king and say that MY experiences dating women from foreign countries has been more productive/positive than stateside. Less uptight, less mean, high expectations but generally offer as much in return, more openly affectionate, far more progressive. But I personally just feel like I got lucky meeting any woman like that in this day and age no matter what country she is from. And I am 100% positive there are women like that stateside that date brothers, but it’s a little easier finding them in places like Canada, Europe.

I don’t know every American or foreign born woman so I cannot judge them all. But will agree that my experience has been pretty good But it does not mean I cannot meet someone nice stateside. Canada is right next door and going to a bar/dating scene there is different than here…..but one of my coworkers who is white says the same thing. I can also say how different dating is in the Vancouver/Portland area vs Detroit Metro and both are stateside.

Two sides to this thought….
Ladies its like this…..if you are looking for a tall, muscular, athletic man, you would have better chances looking for that type in the gym than you would at church or the library…that’s not to say those men don’t exist in the library/church…its just a easier to find them at the gym.

Fellas, I think I know why we feel and think foreign women are more in to us….Europe, Canada, most countries outside of Africa, Americas….don’t have a ton of black men….black men that travel are either business, military, professional types which generally all equate to some level of status and success which will attract most women of any race… also most of the brothers on here seem highly intelligent, intuitive, successful, deep and wonderful thinkers, even when we don’t agree so generally women that are similar would be drawn to same types…but those women that prefer black men…or just don’t care and want a good man of any color will have a bit of a field day with that type since it’s not likely someone she would see often. I think it is more of a rarity thing along with slightly more progressive views on IR…just a thought…

 

Never been to Cali (well, not since 1973, lol), so I can't say what the weather is like for certain, but Marbella does have nice weather: warm at midday, breezy at night, mild winters..

That being said, I have met women open to IR from every country, including the US, just differing levels of acceptance in each country, and a different demographic of women in each country who are willing to engage in IR. But these barriers are being broken down every day. And sorry about this horrible run-on sentence, lol.

I agree with a lot of this. Thanks for posting. AND for discussing without arguing, lol. You're right - we do end up arguing a lot on the forum.

 

And where do you find the tall, teddy bear guy with a few xtra lbs - at the Golden Corral buffet? And the only people at my gym at 5:00 am are mostly the over-70 crowd.
