As soon as its a buff policeman who brings this up you're all in. This is far from the first time its been mentioned lol.

 

I wasn't talking about him when I mentioned members that I respect. I don't know him well enough to say that. But as for it being mentioned before, yes it has, but usually by someone who is disgusted and/or ashamed. The topic was raised this time by someone who sees it as part of his job all the time, and I have to think it can be pretty depressing.

That was my take on it, too. It's interesting to hear about it from the perspective of someone in law enforcement, especially since that's a viewpoint we don't get to hear all that often.

Would you add jealousy to the list? Social and material jealousy also play a factor not in murder, but damage to reputation or damage to property to violence against a person regardless of race.

Money goes where money flows. And none of the big wigs see the long term payoff of a well educated and polite society.

It's a me and mine right now mentality. Sorry..but education is going to be the last thing government spends money. In an aristocracy (which, lets face it, isn't that what we've become in many respects?) they need the poor and downtrodden to piss all over. They like it that way.
