Thanks;) I was just leaving this particular topic alone....was not leaving the site. I don't take it personal but it seems like others do so I will leave it alone.

and trust me...being in law enforcement I am used to it.lol and this kind of response.

I am confused. What are you referring to? I thought this conversation was cordial and respectful.

you felt disrespected fam or that the topic went off course?

It was, but I thought you seemed to dismiss it rather than jump into it with the enthusiasm I've seen from you in the past. When I made the reference to being respectful, I was referring to others who weigh in on this topic but in a negative way.

i wasn't trying to be dismissive but it is tiresome that it's addressed with the scrutiny that is because it makes it seem as if the problems are race specific and not class and socioeconomic specific. It perpetuates the idea that certain behavior is innate and rarely addresses the external societal factors that create the problem.

Now THIS is how you start a thread and have a discussion about issues that impact the black community.

In the future, try to post more pics of scantily clad white women sucking on the monstrously photo-shopped black cock of some well chiseled dark soapy abalicious black male. You'll find the response more amicable.

That said, you are absolutely right on most points. There is an epidemic of black-on-black crime in this country. Based on historical evidence, I would say that it is based on 2 primary factors, but rooted firmly in how slavery evolved the black community. Lets just jump ahead a bit to more 'recent' times. I don't think anyone here would argue that segregation in the US was born of slavery. If so, I'd love to hear that argument. Now, factor in the social effects of segregation which was rampant in the early 1900's, began to really face challenge around the mid-60's thanks in large part to MLK as well as the black power movement. Also, factor in the economic effects of post-Industrial America and you have a petri dish for the black American ghetto. This is not to say that ghetto's are solely inhabited by black Americans, but you will find that a large number of them are.

Now, what happens when you take an entire community of poverty stricken, un/undereducated people, strip them of any sense of culture or self-worth and provide them with one of the most toxic forms of entertainment which has the side effect of filling that culture void. Their sense of self-worth comes not from raising a family and improving their own as well as their communities conditions, but instead by flashing nonsense items like jewelry, clothing, cars, etc.,.

Blacks have never truly found themselves in America, as much as we try to integrate, and in many instances, we already have. The 'black community' as a whole is still in a state of turmoil in this country. Economically, we are behind... this is changing but at a very slow rate. Socially, we are stereotyped to some of the worst possible characteristics that can be associated with a human being. Due to ethnocide, we have no idea of our culture and in many cases (even among a member of these forums who many deem to be incredibily inteligent) we mock and shun our cultural background and our african brothers. We have actually managed to embrace those social stereotypes as being our culture. I am entirely confident that, once these conditions improve, the mindset of black Americans will also change.

Whom are you addressing? I haven't killed anybody nor would I considering do so except to defend myself or my family.

I think that the same goes for just about every other male posting on this forum.

Agreed. I don't see anything at all wrong with this topic. It's an issue that needs to be raised, and discussed.

We have members here who are more concerned with pimping their "different perspectives" to others than actually having any honest & productive discussions.

Yay! I'm glad to see some members I truly respect weighing in on this subject. I know this isn't my issue or something I will ever struggle with, but I am interested in it because it is relevant to half our members here and the men I date. The more educated I am, the more sympathetic I can be and the more prepared I am to discuss it with others who have a different perspective.

Precisely right, well spotted TDK as usual. Not quite ready to call William a troll, but the approach he is taking, one of focusing on Black crime and trying to make it seem like there is a large portion of Black people responsible or that something must be innate/wrong with Black people, all under the guise of "constructive debate" or "asking questions to find solutions", is one that many a racist site member has tried on this forum in the past.

But living in Detroit, MI and being a police officer, maybe has skewed his perspective? He has a little tunnel vision?

meh... I wouldn't have gone there. He means well. Most of his thread have been constructive. He just didn't think about this one. You do tend to see symptoms before the cause.

Assuming we believe he really is, a little too convenient that he just happens to be from one of the most currently troubled cities in the nation. Funny how no cops from Appalachia has ever come on here intimating that there must be something wrong with White men because of all the meth dealing and crimes committed in that region.

I believe that was part of his plan so he would be less obvious when he slowly reveals his true agenda. My profession (the law) does make me mistrustful of words, and does tend to make me overly suspicious at times, but it is helpful "to know what words mean".

IDK I tend to watch over behavior. It might be pushing it a bit. It is at the moment one thread out of several that have been very good for the forums. DOMA, online dating, short term long term.

IDK...If he said he was from Chicago, I might believe it. Detroit is sorely broke, but not crazy violent.
By law, cops are hired/drawn from within their cities. Are there lots of Black men living in Appalachia, enough at least to chose to become cops? And of those who become cops, how many are into WW, and of those who are, how many find this site and then would care enough to post about WM killing WM (as he has about BM)?

Time will tell about him, but for now, I'm with Arch, I think he is the real deal and certainly not from StormFrt. Ughh, they would not even give a shit about BM killing BM, much less want to examine it... they LOOOOVE BOB killings.

Oppression is not raced based, nor is poverty, nor is crime.

I don't like the fact that people are suggesting that poverty = murderers. Being poor does not make you one. Nor being oppressed. Persevering through these 2 obstacles has always been the strength of mankind's character. In fact, some of the most violent, murderous, warmongering men in history who have committed crimes against humanity were(are) rich, well fed, and privileged.

The spike in murders in the last 2/3 decades I truly feel are based on gang indoctrinations, lack of accountability by the individual due to the lax justice system/prison terms that help perpetuate repeat criminals... and the drug trade, usage and selling.

Until the drug flow and demand is stemmed, I don't see much of a change on the horizon.
