I understand, but moderators deserve respect for their position as moderator, whether he/she is personally liked or respected. But if not given, then perhaps it's due to the bolded reason.
It's not just the conservatives that lash out, my dear. In fact, most of this forum is liberal - and there's been a whole lotta lashing out around here as long as I've been here...can't only be us conservatives.
I'm just telling you how your posts come across to me. You come across as extremely emotional, which indicates to me that it's something personal to you. If you say that's not the case, then you answered my question. It's not fair for you assume that those of us who believe race is a huge factor in this case are a bunch "hive-minded sheep" jumping on the media "race hustler" bandwagon. IMO, which I formed on my own BTW, it had a great deal to do with race. If your opinion is that race was not a factor, that's your prerogative. Just because we don't agree, doesn't mean we can't disagree respectfully.
I agree with you, however it would be disingenuous of us to ignore unfavorable facts from the other side, then we look silly, particularly when the Defense puts on its case and some of this may come out. We know Trayvon got into trouble at school, it's why his mother sent him to stay with his dad, because of his suspension. His older brother Stephen apparently also got on Tray in a tweet 5 days before his death, for taking a swing at a bus driver. If we think his Defense aren't going to attempt call these witnesses, we may be in a rude awakening. U cant deny ANY history of physical altercations if there were some, then have the Defense attempt to ambush...u have to preemptively acknowledge and explain them. You actually say it well - like you say many kids get into scuffles. Andreboba said he also might take a swing in the same situation, too. And like I asked Arch, are u gonna turn your back on someone following u - hell no, he had the kid cornered. Fight or flight, right? So even if(assuming) Tray did take a swing, it's ONLY because he was ambushed by Zimmerman. The jury need to understand, the kid was terrified...and impressed upon to understand the fear a Black teen may feel if a larger WM is obviously tailing him! That every punch Tray threw was in self-defense, whether he threw the first one, or the last one, or the most ones. He was fighting for his life. Not Zimmerman.
Two frightened people?? C'mon man, seriously. Trayvon was the frightened one.. how could he not be? He wasn't from that neighborhood! But GZ lived there. Who was the more comfortable? GZ had a gun, Trayvon didn't. He had skittles, a drink his cell and $40 in his pocket. Maybe he felt he was about to be robbed by GZ? BM get stuck up all the time. GZ wasn't frightened. He was too juiced on his own adrenalin that he was about to possibly make a citizens arrest to hand over to the cops (aren't I amazing police, I want to be one of you one day, you know), and be the local hero on the block which would solidify his delusions of superhero NHW captain.
Well said. There's no doubt in my mind that Trayvon was scared...most anyone would be in a situation where some creepy stranger coming at you while you're minding your own damn business. That's when the natural fight-or-flight response kicks in...Trayvon knew he was under attack and did what he could to defend himself.
In Florida? Didnt a mom walk after killing her 3 year old? It would be no big surprise if he got off. But he better not sleep if he does.
Precisely. Anyone's heart would go from zero to 60 as soon as your instinct kicked in you are being followed .. and as women we (can) particularly understand that sudden fear. Hopefully the jury will.
An Interesting Analysis... v The Day the Hard News Died: CNN Only Cares About Egypt in Little Boxes (To be fair, it wasn't only CNN...) News networks say they're only giving (us) what America demands, but does America really get to choose? IDK about that.... maybe more we merely eat (up) what we are fed.
When it comes to issues like this conservatives usually take the insulting belitting pov my friend. Not saying both sides don't do it just pointing out one side seems to always start it. And on this particular topic Panicked Stumper and Archean definitely threw the first stones calling anyone who didn't agree stupid. Same as those who claimed to be liberal but went ape shit on the gun debate topic as well. The liberal pov is always attacked first.
Women that have your background are always a bag of fun. You without a doubt understand what I was getting at. Guys are often rough with their friends growing up so certainly they are that much rougher with those they dislike. The power of discovery and how it is used always has the potential to have a profound effect on the outcome of any case. I certainly agree with the point you made, running from the facts will only make the facts seem a lot worse than they really are.
Look at him give the murder the benefit of the doubt. Flip the races and you be calling a 28 y/o Black man that followed and gunned down an UNARMED 17 y/o white teenaged all kinds of low-life coward scum. Last I checked Martin never assaulted a cop and beat up a woman. You are an obscene characature of a Black man....that's if you are Black....either way....you are a damaged incompleted "man"...
