Uhmm I wouldn't be surprised if he wasn't really there for the theft at all, it was just a bonus, that was not the actions of a thief.
There was more to that imo Hate crime, sexual gratication from the beating or something along those lines.

The woman is a HERO to me! All she thought of was her child sitting frozen. I see PTSD therapy in order for both of them.

 

Cher, you may want to start layering your security. Double bolts, a security system, or portable alarms that wail when the window or door opens (there is also a door stopper that fits under the front door handle you shove from the inside), don't answer the door unless expecting, have utility, cable or apartment complex workers slide their ID under the door first, reiterate safety of strangers to your princes & princess, be aware who watches you come and go if at all....

I know the Petit's killers saw mother and daughter at a mall and followed them home. The younger guy liked her daughter... anyway, you seem so trusting, don't assume every one thinks nice like you, or that you can always reason with an attacker.

If deciding on a gun, most gun shops will steer you right and many offer beginner classes. Step inside one and see if you feel comfortable or not.

I think she means hate, as in hates women. He has been targeting women only so far, apparently. (until we learn who he is and if he has a record of violence). He seemed like an angry coward who appeared to enjoy it, like it was a pleasure, using excessive force even as she submitted. That mate, is hate.

I don't think this is about hating women at all, probably more about easy targets.
These type of home invasive, are not done ta total random. They have staked out and know exactly who is inside.
Granted, this dude seem to go the extra mile but that could simply have to do with anger issues and-or power trip or lack of empathy for others. But I do believe the robbery is the primary goal with the rest as a bonus for this sick figure.

Truth of the matter is that it would be unlikely for him to do this with the average man in the house. This guy, very likely, watched who was coming in and out and then struck when the husband was not in the house. Unless you have a gun, knife, etc, dealing with a man in most cases is not an easy task. You have to do that on top of having a woman calling 911. just isn't a smart idea.

edit: unless you are a woman like Gina Carona or Christina Cyborg, those women are also unlikely to be targeted.

 

Targeting women doesn't necessarily mean you hate women it could be he imagines them to be easier targets like elderly people which makes me worry a lot about my parents sometimes. I want them in a condo in a gated community.

don't feel foolish, Bliss. The military for me was quite some time ago... not only that, but in my trade, I never used a gum. Only learned how to shoot a pistol in boot camp. I have been wanting to go to the gum range and take classes, I may just look into that.

balancing my fears and my children is a tough one. Living in an apartment is even more so a challenge. I definitely want to enhance what I have now, which is so limited...

its hurtful to thinkl that people would believe something is up to no good with the video. maybe they believe that something is up because they dont believe that someone could do that to another human being. we watch too much tv and movies where violence is given on a hyperfrequency and without any reason. we are ok with violence for violence sake. if there in no ass kicking then it sucks. or if you cant complete full carnage in a video game you lose. damn and we wonder why people are fuicked in the head.

look at the trayvon case. a friend of zimmerman was on nancy grace inferring that tray deserves what he got because he was a thug and was in a place he didnt belong. what does that mean?

why is it when yoiu hang out with a white person male or female and yu get dirty looks from blacks or sing country music and all of the sudden you are no longer black. hell, blacks are just as much a racists and whites. Im sick of it all. I cant hang out with someone white or black and not get stereotyped. I just want to live in peace with people

There are many different ways a home invasion like this can be interpreted, seems to me like he was the worst kind.

And maybe it was a hate crime and by that I mean race, the guy is black and the woman was white, had it been the other way around the thought would have crossed my mind as well, what motivates a person like that DK is just a guess, but it could be anything and everything.

But I think it's more likely he something more akin to whats below

I don't see how it is a race issue. There was no racial intent. You could easily change his race and the same issue would have occurred. Also, I think it was just your usual robbery. If she had not been there, it is likely he still would have robbed the place.

I know we get a mix of that and Intentional Invasion towards our elderly residents in my city. They have increased significantly recently. I don't get why they have to beat up old folks when home robbing them, it makes my blood boil. :smt012
