I'd probably be 200 pounds if I ate like you! I'd have to run 20 miles a day to keep my ass in check! My kind of men!! :smt038
But this proves the point that not all is created equal. How come he can eat junk and if you do, you get fat. I mean, trust me I know there is more to it, but the point is, the playing field is never level, on soooo many level, and it never will be. *tears*
Planet Fitness is 24hrs. You should look them then up, see if they're in your area. I agree with you on the temptations. I was listening to an interview on NPR - a woman wrote a book on her now deceased obese uncle...and experts from Australia and the US weighed in...it was very deep. Millions and millions of money is poured in research, studying our brains, etc..how can one person fight back all the time? Just looking at Stizzy's cookies, assuming each one was 100 calories...that's around 1700 right there on the sheet (I know he shared) But it all bodes to the kind of mindless eating and distracted eating and eating with reckless abandon that we are sometimes prone to do, rarely stopping to think the 4 cookies we ate were 400 calories!
You're absolutely right that all is not equal. Some gain weight much easier than others (like most women over men). However, part of handling our weight is understanding our bodies. I know for me if I eat unhealthy stuff all the time, my 3-5 mile run every day won't be enough. I'm not one of these people who can eat whatever they want and maintain their weight, which is why I'm very careful about the food I choose to eat. To me, it's about balance...Stizzy eats crap all the time, but he also works out hard and often. He found the balance between how he wants to eat, and maintaining a strong body. I induldge occasionally just like most people do, but I increase my workout to make up for it. I choose not to eat like Stizzy because honestly, I don't want to have to increase my work outs that much!!! I really do understand that losing weight is hard work (I've had two kids, and I gained a ridiculous amount with each one), but it can be done. I have friends who were at their original weight within 2 weeks of delivering their kids...it took me months! I guess my point was just that it can be done if we make the right choices with our diet and exercise plans. Some will have to work twice as hard as others to achieve the same result. Definitely not easy, but absolutely do-able.
It's been demonstrated over & over that men lose weight faster and easier than women, even when both are equally motivated. That can be very discouraging to see someone else's success when you're trying just as hard and getting nowhere fast.
They are fucking with our food http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...countries-containing-dangerous-chemicals.html
It is so hard to go natural. I was on an all water diet. No soda, no juice:-( It lasted a while but I am back to my juice lol. I may go back after reading this crap. Trying to stick to fruits and fish is even harder.:smt095
One of the reasons I stick with unprocessed foods. My body and mind just work better without all those additives.
The AMA classifying obesity as a "disease" opens the door for big pharma to invest money into a magic "pill" to cure said disease. Everyone want a fast fix. The complexity surrounding our addiction to unhealthy food go way deep and money is what's going to be the final policy maker. The American medical association is close bed fellows with the pharma companies and the pharma companies are all about the Cha-Ching. The AMA is guilty by association.
