Me and my mother are planning a vacation where we can meet, for next year.

As y'all know, she lives in Sweden and I live in Los Angeles.

    So far on my list:

    Bali

    Shanghai

    Singapore

    Hong kong

    Belize

    Brazil

    Machu Picchu with something additional

Neither me, nor my mother like docile vacations, we want action, culture and food, with a little time for relaxing at beach or resort, but mostly inbibe in culture and sightseeing. And affordable

    Anyone have experience, or suggestions?

Singapore to me was too uptight and sterile

Greece/Greek Islands. Simply amazing! Fabulous rich culture. Most every Island is different.

Thailand is nice, my mom and sis went there recently.

India is culturally wonderful. My sister loved it.

I would suggest Italy, but it was very expensive. Fabulous architecture!

But I'm with you. Greece will always be close to my heart. Love!

I would love to to got India, but my mom doesn't seem warm to the idea:(
Now that is what I am talking about! Weeeeeeeeeeee!:)

FG...have been to Belize City twice, was not impressed with it...a lot of crime there, but maybe if you are away from that area it's better....there are many beautiful islands in the Carribean...St. Thomas is gorgeous, that is my favorite island, but Grand Cayman is very beautiful and very very clean....Roatan is extremely friendly....(lots of chocolate there) as well as very beautiful...

Geek,I hope you have a budget to travel. Go to a less expensive country that fits your cash flow. Even though I had never been there visit Argentina,Chile,or Ururquay. It it were not for the riots and the World Cup tryouts I would recommend Brazil. Had you been to Canada?

Me and mine are planning on going to St Lucia next year to visit his Parents, more I look into it the better it sounds.

You have an active Volcano with sulfar baths amazing beaches and Castries is apparently the party town to be in.

If you stay in the north of the Island it much cheaper than the south I've noticed, I wanted to stay in a hotel but as his family are in the south in Castries it works out very exspensive so we will stay with them.
