he dont care. hell, the iutalians do the same as we do with N-word to ourselves, the jews and ect....but they will not accept any bullshit like that from anybody but blacks.....shiiiitttted. we will make excuses for a klansman, rush and other racists like them
Plenty of black folks running around who never say the word but more than make up for it with the fucked up way they look down on & treat other black folks.
I've long thought this as well, but just figured it was a "I can punch my kid brother but you better not lay a hand on him" kind of thing. If it's an unacceptable word for one, it should be unacceptable for all, imo. Like saying to your kid "Don't use profanity. Kids shouldn't be saying that sh*t." If we don't want our kids using foul language or learning bad habits (or prejudice), we need to set the example. Same principle could apply in this situation.
Its annoying because people who use nigger in a demeaning way aren't using it because they hear rappers saying it in songs they use it because they don't like black people and for those kinds of people it wouldn't matter if the word wasn't used at all they'd still hate black people. If you're still using grouping terminology in 2013 its not because you come from a different time its because you wish you still lived there.
Racial segregation in the United States can be divided into de jure and de facto segregation. De jure segregation, sanctioned or enforced by force of law, was stopped by federal enforcement of a series of Supreme Court decisions after Brown v. Board of Education in 1954. The process of throwing off legal segregation in the United States lasted through much of the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s when civil rights demonstrations resulted in public opinion turning against enforced segregation. De facto segregation — segregation "in fact" — persists to varying degrees without sanction of law to the present day. The contemporary racial segregation seen in America in residential neighborhoods has been shaped by public policies, mortgage discrimination and redlining among other things.
True lol. and its not really about what she said, it was the excuse and justification that is the fucked up part anyhow.
then to me she said like it was all good. not only that but she wanted people to dress up like slaves and serve her at a function she wanted to put together.
The 60s and 70s did not have separate facilities in restaurants, or busses etc as she used as an excuse, she was not raised in that environment. Did we have segregation, yes, not as what she used as an excuse, seriously.
I'm not giving her a pass. Are you crazy!! Lmao I'm no defending her, I'm just saying segregation lingered into the 60's
For the record, you do have a strong argument with regard to the double standard hypocrisy and the use of the word in our race,..... The point I was making is that for all that was at stake for her, and even with a black following of admirers, it was share lunacy for her, given the historical outcomes of the many white celebrities that have made that slip.....Example: as of 10 minutes ago, the Food Network has canceled her show with no intention to renew......You have wonder, with so much opportunity to learn from the mistakes of others, did she have her head in the sand for the past sixty-six years.........
hahahaha. i thought i was the only one who thought like this, glad to see i'm not. after more thinking about it, im glad she didnt lie under oath!
