As much as I hate to say it, I would have fully expected him to have the exact opposite opinion. I really hate myself for thinking that way :smt011

They could have moved the trial far out of county. They do it ALL the time for unbiased juries. Basing shit on race is... oh yeah I forgot this case has nothing to do with race right? lol

Damn. Just reading the little synopses for those jurors makes me believe many of them already think Zimmerman is innocent.

TDK is right, if a BM killed a White teen, EVERY White person from this county would not have been excluded. That's bullshit.

I told myself earlier the only victory I wanted in this case was to see Zimmerman arrested and forced to defend his crime in court.

Since the jury's been selected, I don't think there's any way in hell Zimmerman gets convicted of 2nd degree murder.

I suspect many of the White men excluded must have given an indication to the defense they believed Trayvon was the victim in this case.

All I know is, if this fat fuck Zimmerman had been following me from the moment I left 7-11, then got out of his car and approached me with that goatee and shaved head wearing a red jacket looking like a 'banger, and asked me, 'what are you doing here?', there's a high probability we'd be fighting too if I was a teenager.

I can't tell you how unnerving it is when some dude you don't know you think is following you, then come to find out this cat really is tailing you and you're on foot and feel like you can't get away.

Lets not forget an incredibly big part of this that people seem to ignore. There were break ins in the area and from the video that I saw of him going to the police he definitely "fit the description" so if dude was following me I would be scared to especially if I saw him on a cell phone. There's no telling who he was calling especially if he's following me. It could be his "crew" and people also forget Treyvon had an 11 year old brother who was home alone, there's no way on earth I would lead anyone back to my house where its just me and my little brother there alone. Better to make your stand and not let him follow you to the house.

No, I think if it was reversed - a black defendant in a majority Black-populated County, a Prosecutor would be hard pressed to seat any Whites if the Defense had its way. So somewhat disagree with TDK there. Doesn't make it fair, but you can only pull from your pool, and their interview answers.

(Also @ your lack of WM, comment, could have also been the Prosecution felt they were sympathetic to Zimmerman and used their strikes).

The last 2 parts you wrote, you are dead on.......

In fact, that last paragraph ..is the Prosecution's closing argument summed up. If that was said to me, to me, my mind would be set. The Prosecution have to drum in to this jury about Zimmerman - you can't start a crime and finish it by claiming self-defense.

Very good Addum angle! It all bodes to Trayvon's terror that night.

People forget, at 17, you don't yet really have enough REAL-LIFE experience(s) to decipher or process what might ACTUALLY be going on. Trayvon didn't possess a criminal mind, so ANY behavior such as Zimmerman's is going to panic this teenager. "How would YOU FEEL?"; hopefully will be the Prosecution's mantra to these women.

That's key especially with an all white jury. Pull the scene from A Time To Kill,
"Imagine you are home alone with your little brother and he asks you for some skittles and because you love your little brother you go to the local 7-11 to get him some skittles and yourself an ice tea. You throw on a hoodie because its raining and that's what hoodies are for. On your way home after purchasing your ice tea and skittles you notice a suspicious man on his cell phone watching you. You dismiss it and decide to keep walking until you see the same man get out of his car and start following you. You pick the pace up a little while the man is still following you until it enters your mind that he may be following you home. You stop then you look at him and then back at the direction of your home then back at the suspicious man who hasn't identified himself. You find yourself face to face with this man who says nothing more than who are you"
Now at this point the prosecution can speculate that seeing the gun could have made the child fear for his life which prompted a physical altercation like GZ said or go the other way and say at that point Zimmerman might have approached causing Treyvon to stand his ground. But which ever way they go concentrate on the fear someone would FEEL being followed home on a dark rainy night by some creeper watching you from an unmarked vehicle.

I just caught this. How do you or anyone know for certain every black person participated in any protest. There's no way to know that. You could just as easily make the same argument for Zimmerman

Any competent defense lawyer would ask you what law did Zimmerman commit by following Martin? What crime did he start with the situation? By following him? You're allowed to do that. By ignoring a dispatcher? You can do that.

And he would also object to the prosecution asking the jury to put themselves into someone elses shoes....you're not allowed to ask them to make that presumption.

And obviously, you can't prove that every black person in Seminole County participated in the protests. But you can be damned sure that they were EXPOSED to it in some fashion. That leads to them being tainted.

So you're assuming blacks can't be unbiased but whites can? Motherfucka beat it with that bullshit.

Wow dude, just wow. You do have a high school diploma, correct? And in that curriculum they had some form of reading comprehension?

READ and UNDERSTAND what I said......

And obviously, you can't prove that every black person in Seminole County participated in the protests. But you can be damned sure that they were EXPOSED to it in some fashion. That leads to them being tainted.

Do I need to have fireworks around those words too? The black jury pool is tainted in Seminole County, due to the numerous protests, Al Sharpton, etc. This is a bigger issue for the black community than it is for the white community. Would you rather have a white and hispanic jury? Asian and hispanic jury? Take your pick dude, because I'm sure you'll bitch about anything.

Please can I ask that we have civil discussions in here on this, because this is going to be a long trial. Obviously there will be biases, but in order to have any sort of debate or discussion, we have to keep ourselves in check.

(Stumper I will reply to your reply a bit later, pressed for time)

The proof will be in the pudding when the trial starts next week....opening statements, courtroom demeanor, family attendance and support, attorney charm and persuasiveness and finally the judges gavel.....tap, tap, tap...."This court will now come to order........let the preceedings for this very racially polorized case begin".....

It turns out that there are 6 people on the jury. One minority 5 white women. Of those women, two own guns.

yea, He is getting off just because of the two gun owners.

and you are not on the jury.
avoiding unserious manner on this form.

Florida is a very pro gun right state
I think if you are looking at it from a negative stand point.
You are going to have two people who may be likely pro gun.
The minority woman if black will probably side guilty.
I don't know how the other women will side. I mean up until now I didn't think that an old white woman would be using the n-word the way that chef does. You truly don't know how the majority may talk behind people's backs. We will wait and see.

I just don't see him being found guilty having been on a Florida jury.

So you agree with Stumper? @ the minority women?

How am I looking at it from a neg stand point when you're the one saying he will be acquitted. Just like that. All because 2 women own guns.

I guess Floridians are a special breed then.

@ the chef, you said 'old white woman...uses it the way she does'... my understanding is she said she used it a long time ago, and regrets it(?), I am not up on the full details....I don't think she uses it now though.

I didn't mean that you are looking at it negative but that if a person looks at it from a negative perspective. It was that I was replying to you.

    I have a saying
When playing Russian Roulette , worry about the full chambers and not the empty ones.

Also, you don't know the NRA in florida and the crazy gun laws we have here.
It isn't that Floridians are a special breed. It is that the gun owners in Florida are a special breed!!!! I remember the story of a man who shot another man because of property line issues. I'm sure you have your own special breed of gun owners in your state and a story to match. All of us do in each state.

So yes, there IS a 'fed-up' mentality. I can see perhaps (the jury's) view being pro-gun, but at the same time, they are pro-protection. And that night, Trayvon needed protection from GZ.

That's how I would see it, anyway.
