Word, BD. He made that character REAL. Like Stallone's Rocky. Pacino's Corleone.

Only 51 ...he had decades of roles left that we will all sadly be robbed of.

Condolences to his Wife, and kids and family.

Death is like a trap door in the floor...with-out warning, it opens up and you are gone......No time to hug your lady,... No time to kiss your little children...No time to tell your mother you love her.....At the untimely age of 51, with a new young wife, a small child and all the royalty money in the world from the Sopranos series........Just like that, you have left this life, this world and everything meaningful behind............

A fine actor. He was in two films featuring Denzel Washington; Crimson Tide and The Taking Of Pelham 1-2-3. He was in a film with Charlie Sheen called Terminal Velocity, as an ex KGB operative. But, Tony Soprano would be the role he would be best remembered for at a time when the fascination for the Mob was growing. James, as Tony Soprano, would ride high until it ended. Thanks, James. May you Rest In Peace.

Hearing news like this makes you realise how short and precious life is. Tell and show those that you love that you love them, don't go through life with regrets and fear, embrace each and every day as the gift that it is.

    RIP

Absolutely! Sudden death they say is sometimes the most painless, but the underlined is also the worst part, too.

Which bodes to Tarshi's point even more strongly...

I've heard the news on Racheal Maddow last night. I read today that his 14 year old son called room service which called the paramedics. I feel for him. Gandolfini, was a great actor who dies so soon. I can't forget that flick in which he played a dad to a son who wants to be a rock and roll star that he was dying of cancer and informed him to follow his dreams. He had played in a lot of movies and did a good job in every one of them. It was very sad that a greatly talented actor died so soon and had much promise for the future. Like every unique actor there is no one like him. He would be sorely missed.

That show was called Not Fade Away. It was an HBO show.

Gorath,I saw it in the movie theater. It was based on David Chase's experience as a teen.
