Dude. Get over yourself. You've done nothing special that anyone of us here has done in one form or another. Don't know how or why you always think you're in competition with anyone here.
Exactly I wasn't trying to make a point. You do a fine job of making the points for me with these little self entertaining posts of yours.
I hear what you're saying and it's true that if we weren't in front of judges we wouldn't provide the fodder. But I don't expect any more or any less of black people than I do any other ethnic/racial group. I expect us to have the same ills and strengths as any other group. I am only concerned to the extent that it exceeds the rates attributable to other groups. As long as we're human beings we will not remain exempt from the ills of our species.
But why be held to a different standard? To me its not just a race thing its also a poverty thing because if you have money you are rarely if ever held accountable. I am on with personal responsibility but at some point you have to recognize the conditions to be law abiding are greatly stacked against you. Take a city like Chicago rife with corruption and black unemployment. Its really shitty to say don't do crime then maybe you wouldn't get in trouble, but what is your average person suppose to do when black unemployment is twice that of everyone else and you live in areas where joining gangs could is pretty much life and death. Blacks deal with a much different atmosphere and while I agree with the concept "if you don't want to go to jail don't do crime" it's unfair and unrealistic to ignore the conditions that get them in trouble.
You tell us what's the point since you're the one who always logs on here to say the same things over & over again as if none of us here get your viewpoints? Everyone here who's been here long enough knows & gets where you are coming from so why do you insist on harping on this as if we are the ones who need to change how we see things? If you don't see things the way most of us do then fine. No one says you have to. People give you a hard time here because you're always crusading on this shit & black issues period like you are trying to show us that how we see things based on our experiences is wrong somehow or we are making excuses for others or blaming/hating white people.
On a general tip, will you slow down with your 'poverty argument'. There is unemployment everywhere, not just Chicago. I have listened to interviews with the teens that join these gangs, and many are not even adults, so it's not for lack of employment that is the deciding factor. Black people as a community have endured poverty for centuries here. Poverty does not make you a criminal. I'm not speaking about petty crimes, I mean CRIMES. I often meet/know more dignified people in poverty and struggling than I do those with riches. Besides, I keep BEING TOLD there are more WP on welfare, anyway. I don't agree that BP commit more major crimes - period, so I certainly don't buy your argument they do because they are poor. If you want to blame anything, I would look more towards drugs, the whole industry, from street to Wall Street. And that net casts wide over White, Black and Hispanic communities. This is why the Judge is so off base - it's the crimes before her she should concern herself with, not the race.
Someone owes me five bucks because I knew he would pull the I made it why can't you argument. Like clock work lol
There is poverty every where but if you are four times less likely to get a job that plays a huge factor. And if you think poverty has nothing to do with teens joining gangs think again. I never mentioned that was the sole reason but it sure as hell plays a part. And the drugs in conjunction with the poverty that entices people to take these dangerous risks play a huge factor. Like I said before I believe in personal responsibility but let's not pretend d that other factors outside of personal action play a major role in high black arrests. And simple throwing out "they should stay out of trouble if they don't want to deal with unequal treatment" What's next? "So what if they only hire blacks with masters and everyone else with bachelors. Go get a masters and shut already.
You fix the gosh darn system. How can you not see what he is telling you? We can start by firing the judge.
So what would you call accepting unequal treatment just because of your race? Looks like I don't need the pipe because you're trying to give everyone that contact high homie lol
That if blacks are tired of an unequal and unjust legal system they should simply quit getting in trouble. Its like telling women if you want equal pay either grow a penis and/or work longer hours. There's no halfway with equality fam.
Isn't your whole position that if blacks don't want to be treated badly by the courts they shouldn't get in trouble in the first place?
