as you know M.O. got herckled...according to the article a few people arent pleased in how she handled it.

is there a double standard? when christ chistie gets heckled he goes off and people applauded him for it. when she did it...there is mixed reviews. sexism?

 

This made Michelle even more attractive in my opinion lol. She really puts other first ladies to shame.

 

Mrs Obama handeld it better then I would.

I would have gotten in the hecklers face, really close. Then I would have done a NBA/soccer flop to make it look like the heckler hit me. The Secret Service whould rush in and put the heckler in a headlock and dragged her out of the room. I would then calmly go back to the mic and continue speaking.

 

The heckler was a member of the LGBT community. She was concerned that the First Lady was not adressing the issue of young people in the LGBT community. She couldn't restrain herself and she spoke out. Loudly. She said that she wasn't intimidated by Michelle Obama. This is the issue. Rudeness and disrespect were the things that hit the Obamas since winning two elections and moving into the White House. The Obamas probably had dealt with this earlier on in their lives. Like all most minority families. I think the First Lady handled herself well.

 

I love me some Michelle Obama.

I think there's sexism and well as the "mouthy black woman" racist stereotype at work here in the reaction to the First Lady's verbal self-defense. While I support the LGBT's grievances against the federal government and their sense of being let down by the President, flipping out in public doesn't win anyone to your cause.
