Obviously what I was supposed to say was.........

    Cough, cough

Oh nooooo, not meeeeee, (simpering trying to sound sexy voice) I definitely know how to appreciate my mannnnnn.
Why, if he buys me a bunch of flowers and holds the door open for me I'm so overcome with gratitude I almost fall at his feet trying to show appreciation.

The question is about the appreciation of men. It isn't actually about your relationship woes. I am sorry that your relationship is one sided (because from what you are telling me, it is). But, that isn't the question asked.

As far as wage goes, the wage gap:

The gender wage gap is only there due to the differences in the types of jobs taken by men and women. The actual wage gap is a racial wage gap...

And to be honest, as a white woman, you will statistically make more than a black man working the exact same job. Just FYI...

And for the record, some men are appreciated while others are not... from the perspective of society anyway. Are men appreciated in the judicial system when it comes to divorce and child custody? Nope. Are people (men and women) appreciated in the work force if they aren't white or asian (men and women included), not often. I hope that answers your question.

Thanks for posting this because I've brought this up before but you have to realize as I did its not about facts a lot of times its about emotion. We bad this discussion in an economics class once and the logical conclusion was if companies who act in their own interest were so gender biased then they would hire far more female employees over men since they can pay them 76 cents on the dollar for the same amount of work. Women never rarely take in to account what having kids does to your career (a choice they make no one can legally force motherhood on them like they do fatherhood) which greatly lowers their opportunity for advancement hence lower salaries over a career. Also as you pointed out women are less likely to choose the risky jobs that pay more like truck driving, logging, fishing, and firefighting. When so many women choose teaching and social work as professions its not about evil men holding them back but them taking shitty low paying jobs. I don't d'oh t women have suffered in the past but I don't see evidence that they are being held back the way they say they are in the western world. Im open to correction.

I love this woman she is so on point. For most men I don't see why they choose marriage. There's little to no benefit.

Argh sat through that 16 odd minutes hoping for some enlightenment but then got to the baby boy bit and had to fight the urge to piff my phone across the room and jump on it. Anything of worth she may have had to say at the beginning was ruined right at that moment.

It would appear that some have forgotten that some of us posters are not American nor do we live there

You don't seem to remember that some of us are American as well though.

Lolz serial? How am I ever going to forget that most of the posters are American when a lot of the subjects are American based?

Throwing up American stats after a comment from an English poster has stated her facts isn't supporting facts.

Men all over the world? Whether they are appreciated?

    1. I don't think that there is a serious interest in "what are our thoughts"
    2. I assume, we all know-out of the recent Threads- what the answer will be

Lol I neg repped it, for lack of attention to detail, probably why he gets paid less lol

Asking for appreciation merely based on gender pees me off, don't ask me for nothing then I won't ask for nothing back.

This was a pity party/ ain't men got it rough yarn.

That woman was so wrong is so many ways, even her statement about men eating last, women and children eating first. Where on earth does she get her information, traditionally the working man eats first.
