Are you unsalaried active anywhere? Do you do anything for others, without earning money with it? Are you a social person?

I volunteer my time in teaching children's martial arts. Since my injury it has slowed me down, but I'm still involved in teaching in a limited capacity right now. I'm considering teaching as a second career.

lippy is currently running traps for feral cats...once caught i take them to feline fix and have them spay or neutered...they are then released back into population...this program offers their service at a very low cost...the goal is to cut down the feline population

i also collect and distribute travel size tolietries to a homeless shelter

my travel schedule will slow down considerably during the winter months...the weekends that i have my son we search for detailed volunteer projects that last 1-2 days max...better to not over commit and not be able to follow through

Volunteer in helping kids read at a school (I only work with the ones who have problems) and also at a charity that helps patients with cancer with meals and home duties.

I mentor and teach at an aviation school started by a Tuskegee Airman. I do community bike rides for kids mostly. Use to deliver meals-on-wheels but work days now. Occasionally, I help out at the animal shelter.

I really, REALLY want to start some nutritional/weight loss mentoring for teen aged girls. So many people (and kids) are so lost when it comes to loosing weight. I want to tell people all the time, "you can do it! I know you can!". But alas, most dont want to hear it so I gotta cheerlead for my close friends only.

Just last night, I started looking into opportunities to volunteer. I think it'll be a good experience for me, since I've been feeling kind of lost recently. Hopefully, I'll be able to do something soon. As for what that is, I'm not sure.

It´s amazing, how many people here take care of others..I also heard something about "brothers" in US. It has something to do with children without an own Dad, but I don´t know exactly how it works. Just that men spend one day/week or month with a child..That idea fascinated me, we don´t know that here.

We (my ex and I) gave mishandled dogs, especially Dobermans, many times used as fight-dogs, a home till the Doberman help found a new home for them.
Now it´s not possible anymore, I live alone and when I go for work a girl takes care of my animals.

Two friends and me founded animal homes in Spain, they live there, I help financially. One was shot last year, because the neighbours there hate these places.

My Guinée company is combined with a foundation. 50% of the profit goes automatically in the foundation. This foundation sends all kinds of refiel supplies fom Europe or China to Guinée. At the moment the situation there is very critical, all is stopped, till the elections are over. Hopefully without any civil war..

Bookie, you are right, nothing makes you more happy than to help..

I used to volunteer at the local strip club helping the girls prepare for their next dance.

I don't volunteer anymore.... to many companies making insane profits off off of free labor.I dont donate to charities for the same reason.

I cannot say you are wrong, I've also seen some tricky guys making Profit out of foundations. On the other hand, I always look for something I can do for the society, not all are favourite, some even have serious problems and at the end the Person you can help counts. Therefore I don't donate, except small foundations I know the Person personally, but I volunteer for foundations

I have contributed a bunch of my time wrenching at a community bike. We run on donated bikes the we repair for resale. Spending some time away, it can consume you if sometimes. Two years as of now. Currently, i'm volunteering at our local BMX track, must be outside if you know what I mean.
