It's sad for people to boycott the business for the actions of one or two idiots.

I don't understand why people are taking their business from the company? Seems as though the two assholes were fired, and the CEO offered a public apology, and apparently personally reached out to the victim. Personally, I think it's refreshing to see a company act swiftly instead of trying to brush shit under the rug.

    agree

u cant be responsible for the actions of EVERYONE under your authority before they do something all the time

BUT....you can be responsible after the matter..which in this case, papa john's inc. was by firing those nitwits post haste

they took a hardline approach and I think 'the people' should be satisfied with it

I don't know why people are blaming Papa Johns because they hired(and fired) a racist delivery driver. Most companies employ a few racists, doesn't mean it's company policy.

It would be the case, but I think there are some other elements in play as well, like say...political reasons as to why people would be quick to boycott Papa John's. After all, the CEO of the company did get some flack for statements made about Obamacare and publicly endorsed Romney.

But Papa John's, while the pizza is okay at best, the business have been considered a bit racist for some reasons I can't thoroughly recall.

Gotcha. I wasn't aware of that, but if that's the case, it definitely makes more sense why people are so quick to boycott them. I just figured that it was another confirmation that people can't think for themselves and that they'll jump on any bandwagon just "to be a part of something" even if they don't support (or even understand) the cause.

Or how about those of the competitor...who deliberately pay (plant) someone to get a job there to destroy their competition.

Majestic loves to chide those who stereotype, but loves to stereotype himself. That's why I can't take selective (feigned) "stereotype outrage" on here seriously.

SMH, we will boycott a pizza franchise, yet we wont boycott anything relevant anymore.

Papa John's pizzas are okay(the sauce is what is popular most of all). I prefer the mom and pop Italian pizzerias. Real pizza, and not the production line pizzas. I am glad that everything was settled. If these guy knew anything about opera, they would know that the character of Figaro was a jack of all trades and was known and loved in his town. Among Figaro's talents was matchmaking.
