listen to the video and then TO me it is a weak ass excuse for not being there for your child. You cant be the perfect guy....

its ok to be wrong about this or that just be man enuff to say I did it wrong.

its ok to say to your child I dont have the money to afford you this or that...they will get it. then tell them that You want them to get a good education and do A, B and C because that is what I should have done to be in a better position. thats what fathers do....TEACH and be an example.

Sure, it is a B.S. excuse. He should have just made a porno like farah abraham to pay for a better lifestyle.

 

To me, as a woman, it sounds lame. But I don't know or understand enough about a man's psyche to say that with conviction. I do believe men stumble under the weight of inadequacy at times. (As do women.) I guess it's possible to be so convinced of your unworthiness that it's easier just to walk away from the situation. But it's a selfish move. You have children that, more than anything, just want your time and attention. Most kids will survive growing up poor - I don't think the same can be said if they grow up without the loving attention of a parent.

I suspect that he is dressing up the reality for the sake of saving face. He wasn't the man he should've been, but he was the man he wanted to be at the time and that man didn't want to be a husband or father.

 

To be honest, I don't know his story nor his relationship with the mother of his child. I will say that being responsible for the lives of other people can be overwhelming. But, it isn't an excuse to not be there and protect and provide. Unfortunately, a lot of men who are there to protect, provide, and guide have their children ripped from them in custody battles and so on.

We kind of give this guy a pass, but I wonder what the reaction would be if this was a woman saying this? I'm dumbfounded when I hear of women who walk away from their children because I just can't fathom that. But, like you said, caring for and being responsible for those who depend on you can be overwhelming and if you don't have yourself/life together, you can't keep theirs together.

Having a parent who walks away from you as a child, imo, is one of life's most grievous emotional injuries. Most children, no matter how convincing the argument is, will believe they were the reason the parent left. They were rejected, not that Mom or Dad had life issues that prevented them from being the mother/father they should've been. My heart goes to people who experienced that.

 

Interesting. Maybe if she decided to have a child with a financially stable man and, well, I don't know, married him. Maybe she wouldn't be in this position?

 

Some people have mental illnesses. And some women aren't raised to think any other way. The same goes for men. I mentioned before that a lot of men and women base their future on their past. If that is the lifestyle they had they will often either act the same or the exact opposite.

 

there is no excuse. te on in the show....they talk about women need to stop with the drama when a dude wants to see the kids. they said that no man wants to be around drama especially when they are cpoming to see the kids. the moms need to be cool when they see the kids and make it inviting. they are to put aside their bitter feelings because its not about them but its about the kids

 

maybe she should have stayed with him and made it work. in any case like they stated the money will come....he should however be poaying the support or whatever he can. it sound like to me that she would give him hell no matter if he was giving the support and was seeing the child. she comes across as a bitch

Unfortunately, this happens far too often. I have a sister who is just like this. She said that her ex needs to get his shit together and send more money. Granted he was recently shot in Afghanistan serving his country and trying to provide. Some people are just disgusting like that. I found the comment extra repulsive considering my tours overseas and my injuries. Luckily, I will never have to deal with filth like that (no longer dating). To be honest, if I want children I will hire a surrogate and have children without having to worry about custody issues.

 

his best friend is google and legal zoom. he need to go to the law library and take her to court. he can do some oif the work himself before going to an atty. he can get a book called "how to represent himself". he canb really fuck her up. he tell the judge what you told me andthen say she is in contempt of court and should be held criminally (in alabama that means for everyday she keeps the child away that is 5 days in jail). look it up yourself. the atty will not push that. its up to you to know. you put that paper work in yourself from the info you found from the law library or there is an online law center that will answer questions and will let you know.
