    I haven't watched the whole series, but others here have and are huge fans. It was hailed and revered by critics for its grit and realism. Made Idris Elba a star in the U.S.

    loved the wire

    its never rushed and cases arent magically solved in '1 hour'

    the series took its time exploring the characters, the cases, the trades

    havent really seen any others like it with such an entourage of characters that you cared about, who all had important roles to play
