I found this entertaining for the simple fact i saw it all unfold while at lunch. while at boa the restaurant behind the cops it felt like i was in a movie.

Well, it goes to show nothing has changed in America in spite of what some people think. For that biracial kid who thinks changing his classication would make a differerence? Ask that to a cop anywhere in the USA.

I wonder if there are any civil penalties for this: 1) no call complaining of Diddy's car being stolen; 2) no call of a suspect brandishing weapons in a car like this; 3) individual rightfully in possession of the car per the requirements of his employment.

Hope Diddy does something about this.

Driving a high-end, discontinued luxury vehicle while black? Is that a crime? In Miami South Beach, I had heard that even if an ordinary black professional were driving a BMW, Mercedes, Range Rover, Audi , Cadillac, Bentley or even an old Excalibur(remember those cars?)police pulled you over. It doesn't even matter if you are the registered owner. I guess Diddy's driver and the passenger are going to go to court with this. The police will probably settle and pay up big. Times have not changed at all.

in these days, that's enough to warrant a police visit

ur supposed to report anything that seems suspicious in this climate of terrorism

whether or not it was a legit call or a call because the witness seen a black guy in a very expensive car, has yet to be determined

Moral of the story your black ass is still despite the bs people try to preach about equality. Maybe this happens to whites and asiana but I never hear about it.

now now, you cant fuel self-serving agendas by spending as much time scouring the internet for unfair treatment involving non-blacks, as you do searching for unfair treatment involving blacks

believe me..just as many (or simply..a lot) non-blacks have issues with law enforcement/DOJ as blacks

The judicial system fucks over a lot of poor people but rarely do I see them get publically embarrassed like blacks. And never for bs like this. Come to NY and ask white people living in Harlem if they know anything about stop and frisk. Then go to BK and the BX and ask the same question.

Police officers have the right of reasonable suspicion. I don't argue that. But, if I am driving in a high-end vehicle, obeying all traffic laws, the vehicle is in fine working order and whatnot , and I still get pulled over, I would suspect something is wrong there. Maybe the officer is bored and he simply wants to look at the car. But, the officer can go to a dealership and look at a car. There may be other(personal) issues involved.

if someone reports suspicious activity, it wont matter

it's our civic duty to report strange behavior and it's the cops duty to investigate it

this is how you prevent crimes...boston bombing for example

it's not like the cops just rolled up on him over GP........PEOPLE called the police and expressed what they believed to be something suspicious

Civic responsibility is one thing. A citizen is supposed to report criminal activity. But, I see black, white, latino, Asian and other ethnicities people in high-end vehicles everyday. I don't call the police on them because it looks strange that they are behind the wheel of this vehicle. Unless I see that vehicle being used in a crime like a robbery.

So... Basically it's OK to profile, investigate, and pull out the red tape based on the color of one's skin, but it's not OK for the IRS to profile and pull out the red tape for the tea party? Oh, OK, I understand now.

When I was staying with my grandmother in Newark I saw on one of the New Jersey stations a test of cars being stopped by cops in a New Jersey town. Mostly a Black person gets pulled over while White drivers go to their merry way. That was four years ago. As I said nothing has changed. For the Black conservative who gives excuses for the cops-brotherman has a case of sado-masochism.

if anything be mad at whomever made the 911 call

they reported that someone in the car had a gun, which is why the police responded the way they did

the police didn't just stop the car because the driver was black (which is what most people in this thread think)

they were acting on a behalf of people who call 911 talking about guns and shit

if the story was the other way around, and 911 didnt respond and someone got killed in a drive by, people would be going off the hinges over that

police are damned if they do, damned if they dont around here

    as for profiling, come on

it's like people want violence to stop in our neighborhoods, but cry racial profiling when cops do what they can to prevent the violence in the first place

Well why didn't you take pics and throw them babies up on here?

Or you could have sold them to TMZ!

No it's NOT OK! Everyone should fight for both injustices, tyvm!

BTW, criminals profile too. So do rapists. Ugh @ profilers! Unless it's terrrrists.

I only call 911 on the elderly. There is something very suspicious about living for over 55 years.

I am aware, I just like the way each issue is portrayed. I suppose the tea party wouldn't have had as much red tape if they didn't express militancy in certain circles. As far as the blacks in America go, we are just considered militant by refusing to die at birth.

A Maybach? Not suspicious. Not exactly the type of vehicle criminals opt to use for suspicious activities. An armored black van with tinted windows and men saying their last rites in Arabic as they load ammonium nitrate and fertilizer aboard? Suspicious.

From what I caught today, the deeper story? is the IRS were pressured by certain Democratic losers who were upset that the TP org's had (the funds to make) negative ads that affected their election losses. Stay tuned, I guess...
