The Air Force officer in charge of the military branch's sexual assault prevention program was arrested for sexual assault, ARLNow reported Monday.

Stars and Stripes confirmed that Lt. Col Jeffrey Krusinski, the chief of the Air Force Sexual Assault Prevention and Response program, was arrested early Sunday in Arlington, Va.

    The police press release reads:

On May 5 at 12:35 am, a drunken male subject approached a female victim in a parking lot and grabbed her breasts and buttocks. The victim fought the suspect off as he attempted to touch her again and alerted police. Jeffrey Krusinski, 41, of Arlington, VA, was arrested and charged with sexual battery. He was held on a $5,000 unsecured bond.

According to Wired reporter Spencer Ackerman and NBC News, the Air Force has removed Krusinski from his post, pending an investigation into the allegations.

The Air Force has recently faced a number of sexual assault scandals, most notably at Lackland Air Force Base in Texas. More than 30 training instructors and drill sergeants have been disciplined in the scandal, which is still under investigation. Almost 60 potential victims have come forward with reports of sexual abuse at the San Antonio training facility.

According to a Defense Department report, an estimated 19,000 members of the armed services were victims of sexual assault in 2011.

"Our core values and respect are the foundation of our wingman culture -- a culture in which we look out for each other and take care of each other," reads the description of the Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Program on its website. "Incidents of sexual assault corrode the very fabric of our wingman culture; therefore, we must strive for an environment where this type of behavior is not tolerated and where all Airmen are respected."

She beat his ass too.:smh:

I'm not defending this dude, but since he is in charge of sexual assault prevention. Can you imagine all the sick and disturbing things he sees and hears on a daily basis.

I wouldn't be surprised if he is suffering from some kind of depression, and when you add alcohol, He probably snapped and lost touch with reality.

this is what made the case crazy

like the FBI guy who was put in charge of a task force to find a double agent within the Bureau, when HE was the mothafucka

but yeah...dude may have just lost it

mental illness is very stigmatized in the military and people are afraid of being booted out if they admit they're sick

so the shit just festers until it explodes

otherwise you know..why would a LtCOL throw away serious money+career like that

Sorry to hear that, hang in there.

One of the best decisions I've made in life was not enlisting in the military. Kudos to the folks it works for but I found out super early just at freaking MEPS what they were really about.

that process takes forever so naturally, some guys were just sleeping on the chairs then ended up getting an earful from the closest NCO:smt076

yeah....MEPS stinks. Boot camp stinks...the military stinks for a minute until you get some time and rank up under your belt. Then you still have to deal w the beauracracy and bullshit.

Now I work for the army...deal w a lot of the same...just in a different capacity. however, I have a better position and know a lot of people...so it's better I guess...

This guy...he's a dumb ass. My friend knows him, said he's a knuckle head. Guess it was bound to happen sooner or later. I'm glad ol girl whooped his azz. Lol

Lol naw but I remember fondly at a mess hall on a super cold winter, soon as I walked in the door this old ass bitch scolded me "you take off your hat in my house young man" I felt some type of way because it was nothing but whites around and I don't take kindly to people showing out.
