Depends on the gift which is why I don't do big gifts anymore. That shit leaves you bitter if things don't work out. Im still tight about buying an ex a fifteen hundred dollar car in college. Maybe Im biased lol.

marriage is when it's safe for the big gifts :) then if things go sour you have more of a say so and have to split things equally

He also gave this chick a credit card and she racked up over 100K in charges in only a few months!!

How is a female who's earning less than 45K a year gonna roll out like money is water just because a rich man wants to marry her???

    So childish.

i knopw we are talking about rings but lets talk about loaning money or cosigning a loan

    another way of saying it.

if you cant afford to let it go...then dont give it.

I hear on the radio people will "LOAN" someone money. later on they see them dodging them to pay them back and they become upset and take em to court.

a good friend stated...."you say with your lips its a loan....in your heart its a gift. if they pay you back its a bonus."

Was it personal spending on herself?
It may have been for their upcoming wedding. If you listened to her interview, she was known to plan her girlfriends' weddings, so I'm sure she was taking the helm for her own. Wonder if any of that 100K went towards her nuptials...?

I haven't seen anything itemizing her charges, but I got the impression she was just being a baller and buying whatever she wanted, the wedding wasn't really the priority.

String along? So what about men are strung along with promises of sexual favors and/or relationships. Should their compensation be sex?
And why would anyone stick around longer they wanted to. At what point does an adult become responsible for their own actions? If a relationship isn't meeting your needs then just bounce. Not like anyone is holding you at gun point. Move on find a new guy or is the real reason a woman wont leave in a situation like this have way more to do with not wanting to give up a certain lifestyle than it is about the man she supposedly loves.

not so much that. but when you start lending money you are treading on serious fuck up ground. i promise you. people in the world will fuck u.

i have seen it and you can listen on the radio show dave ramsey....(all yoiu have to do is listen for 1 to 2 months and I promise you will get three stories about someone cosigning and then ...blah blah blah) dave always say if you cosign be prepared to pay for it.

there is a reason why you are cosigning. its because they have a history of not paying back. trust me dont do it.

    LOL. OMG

I think she should give it back regardless of the legalities. Why dod women want to hold onto a symbol that now has a bad flavor, no, she wants financial restitution.
