No orgasm in the world is worth that. I can't imagine the feeling of wanting to take back a night of pleasure if you contracted HIV. "If only I didn't..." :smt009

All you can hope for is that your partner is or will be as terrified of it as you are...to keep in check NO MATTER the temptation.

Would you trust it (them?) enough to be the first to try it? An AIDS vaccine?....*shivers*

People need to stop running to the doc for a little sniffle. I never heard of taking antibiotics for a COLD, until I hit the U.S. And I was like 'huh??' I still wouldn't take them for one and wont.

This is why they are losing strength out here. Bacteria is a tough bitch.

    True,

Also antibacterial soap falls along those lines, its essentially a marketing ploy that costs us in the long run.

Indeed. In fact, I recently heard that we are really overdoing it with the sanitizing that are aiding the bugs who will eventually resist.

Though I must admit the times I do forget my sanitizer and find myself around A LOT of people I'm physically interacting with, I usually catch something.

Exactly right. Providers have actually come a long way in the past few years though, when it comes to protocols behind prescribing antibiotics. The frustrating part is that we have patients who just don't get it, and they want antibiotics for everything. They lodge complaints thinking the docs are just holding out on them, when in reality the physician is trying to protect that patient. It's sad how uneducated some people are when it comes to their own health.

Yep. Gotta make sure that you have moral values in sync, in common, in lockstep.

And not just "talking the talk" either. Everyone says they can do monogamy... but if you stole her from another guy, her favorite song is "secret lovers", and she thinks that tv show about the woman having an affair with the prez is oh-so-mesmerizing and glamorous, she might not be the one for you...

I saw this with my son when he was a baby. He began having ear infections at a month old. Doctors put him on a prophylactic dose of antibiotics, which worked - for a time. Then he'd start getting infections while on the meds and they'd have to change up the med. The infections were running one into the other and he finally had to get tubes in his ears (twice).

I don't even go to the doctor with a cold unless I'm running a high fever or it lasts for more than a day.

Did you know that different species of bacteria swap genes with each other? Tricky motherfuckers evolve and get around their problems through horizontal gene transfer.

Macrofauna (like you and me) pick up genes that way too. Believe it -or- not.
