The blogger looks like she might be in better shape than the cheerleader. She is just a blogger and I don't believe she should be fired for having an opinion. I find it interesting that a blogger could write, "cheerleaders set the quest for gender equality back 100 years because...", but if you notice one thing about someone's weight it's the end of the world? Really?

Fired no, relegated to blogging about toilets, yes.

She had no business even pontificating on the subject. Beyond irrelevance, it was also inapplicable to this woman.

Depends on where you go. If you venture to visit the orient, you could be considered fat even if you have abs. LOL, it happened to me. I think if the woman can get fired for saying that the cheerleader is too chunky, then I believe that racially charged and gender biased statements made in news articles should be grounds for termination. I have run through plenty of articles where somehow that is ok, but calling someone a little chunky isn't? LOL...wow

I think the blogger has this image, as do most, that cheerleaders are typically a rail. When you see that picture of Williams, you do not get the sense that she is a rail. Williams albiet appearing heavier in that picture is still very beautiful, probably made the blogger jealous.
