I recently bought a GFG a few days back, and finally got a chance to use it yesterday. I intend on grilling with it today, since I can not have the real deal, charcoal grill at my apartment (wouldn't surprise the landlord tho, if a brotha whipped out the BBQ grill anyway ). I'm going to cook some burgers and probably chicken breast with it, and was wondering if anyone else uses them. I'm not a big fan of fat (no shit), so I'm really interested in seeing how much of a reduction I'll be getting in that department, from my foods.
I've used a George Foreman Grill before and I must say that it is awsome. Drains nearly or all the fat out of meat or any other foods you put in there.
I have one and it works just fine. However, don't expect your meats to become fat free from being prepared on this grill. As I'm sure you've seen on the scores of infomercials, what it does is help eliminate the excess grease so your meats are soaking up the additional oils. But it won't, for example, removes the fats from a salmon fillet (not that that's something you'd want since those are healthy fats). Likewise, it won't completely remove the fats from hamburger.
The george foreman is great, it removes excess fat like the previous poster said and cooks your meats/seafood in minutes. I just upgraded to one that has the removeable plates - now clean up is soooo much easier.*2 thumbs up for the GF grill*
Chicken breasts or seafood taste better than burgers on the GFG. Burgers require a flavor that only fire and charcoal can give them so I wouldn't advise cooking any of those on your GFG. It also makes really good panini sandwiches too.:smt023
my gfc is good (needs to be cleaned tho, shit), but yeah, NOTHING replaces the smoking you get from charcoal hotdogs are good on the grill also mine has a slightly rolled up edge, where the grease falls off, to prevent them from falling.
Italian white bread (slightly buttered), cappicola, genoa salami, pepperoni (all thinly sliced), and smoked provolone. One bite and it'll melt in your mouth like holy communion. Fuhgeddaboutit!!!:smt023
you eat like a man raised in philly, jersey, or new york..... you gots (yes gots you english grammar fools) to be from this area buck
dont flatter yourself no one's going to come looking for your ass unless you really shook, that someone's goin to take a baseball bat to your head, for talkin' greasy over the internet
Yeah I love my charcoal for sure, but I have GF. I like to season and grill portabellas on my GF, tasty, on a burger too.
