WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. -

Nimeha Milien celebrated her birthday Monday. While she's happy to reach this milestone, she said dating right now is out of the question.

"I'm glad that I'm alive to be able to see my 21st birthday because I want to be able to make a difference in this world," Milien said. "If I had died on that night, I wouldn't have done anything."

Milien is talking about her first date last week with Donald McGee.



She said she had never met McGee, but started talking with him after he sent her text messages Friday evening.

Within a few hours, she said, McGee convinced her to come and pick him up at the intersection of Sheridan Street and 68th Avenue in Hollywood.

Milien said she then drove to Palm Beach County, where they spent time on the beach at Ocean Inlet Park.

"We sat there. We spoke. Nothing wrong happened," Milien said. "It was like normal, all conversation."

Milien said the date ended at a Wendy's parking lot on Boynton Beach Boulevard, where she thought McGee's brother was coming to pick him up. But Milien said McGee pulled out a gun and told her to get out of the car.

"I grabbed my purse and then he fought me for my purse with a gun," Milien said. "He pointed it at my face."
Milien said McGee drove away, and she ran across the street to a gas station where she asked a customer for help. She said the customer told her to get into his car so they could follow McGee. Milien hopped in the car and called 911.

Officers caught up with McGee on Interstate 95 and chased him for about eight miles. Police said it ended on the Yamato Road on-ramp after McGee lost control of the vehicle and got stuck in the dirt and grass.

McGee faces charges of armed carjacking, robbery with a firearm and possession of marijuana.

Milien said she will not be dating anytime soon.

"I don't even want to go anywhere anymore," Milien said. "It makes me really scared."

 

i heard about this. he is a real dumbass. he jacked a woman who he went on a date with. I mean damn dude.....she got your number. then he jacked a damn civic and expect to out run the cops.

 

I know she's young, but this is an i told you so moment....

Yep. My first thought was: why do you meet a guy you don't know in an area with nobody around?
Don't meet him where you live, and don't meet him where you are basically alone until you know the person better.
But I admit that I risked my live as well when I was 19. I was just lucky that the guy didn't take advantage of me and my stupidity.

 

have to say, I did something equally as stupid when I was much younger. met some random guy at a club and since he was fine and bought my gf and I drinks all night and waffle house in the am...i shamely took him home and molested him. thankfully he only turned out to be a little crazy and stalked me for a while...offered to buy me random necessities like cars and laptop computers lol

And she got his full name, and his physical description because she'd just spent a lot of time with the guy. Eyewitness identifications are usually pretty unreliable but...this one will not be.

 

That is unfortunate for her. One has to be careful of whom they date. The guy looks like the pothead on Scary Movie.

I once knew one guy who told me he met this chick online and they talked on the phone and she was real eager for him to come pick her up, so he parked at the top of her street and called and said he was 5 mins away and watched some dudes come out of her house and hide. He knew he was gonna get jacked so he kept right on driving away.

 

Wow...I'm glad he was able to get away unharmed. That sounds like it would have been a nightmare come true had he actually gone up to her house. He was smart to call ahead first.
