Yeah, I saw both parts. Good shit. Wished they would have found a way to update some of the Cold War era stuff to more present day era equivalents. That stuff's fine when you're reading the actual graphic novel since that's when it was originally written but kind of seemed dated & silly when watching the movies.

 

I didn't really notice until you said that. I just thought the storyline was superb

Yes. Very superb story. It's one of the reasons writer/artist Frank Miller became a superstar in the comics industry and currently a player in Hollywood. Sin City & 300 are two very big comic series he did long after The Dark Knight Returns and we see how they did when turned into live action films. Both have sequels currently in production.
