first off, ive said it before... dont fish off the company peir! second, i always stay away from complimenting looks or clothing(i.e. bottoms or tops) however i will compliment the fuck out of a pair of shoes. No one is exempt from my shoe complimenting and no one received more attention then another. it got a point where i was known as the shoe man and women would come to my desk if they had a new pair and wanted me to critique. in corporate america a bm cannot adhere to the typical stereotype of wanting to take down every ww he sees. you have to be different to survive...

Agreed! My thoughts exactly....people are so dam uptight these days. I compliment both men and women. Last night I was dealing with a cop from another agency and he had the most amazing frickin eyes I have seen in a minute. So I looked directly in them and said, "you have beautiful eyes"....he looked right back into mine and said, "you do too". I give credit where credit is due. I may never get a chance to say it so I go for it.
Good points bro. By nature I keep my complimenting thoughts to myself to avoid any misunderstandings. Keep it professional and go about my business. Its just too risky for a dude frankly to put yourself out there like that in the workplace because you never know how your words could be interpreted. Shit could even cost you your job in this day and age if she goes to the bosses, its that easy. I was the original poster of the topic I would have apologized to her right there and then when she gave her response and made it clear I was simply being nice and nothing more than that and will never do that again. You can't control how someone reacts, you only control your own actions.
