With the way that the SYG law is written in Florida, you can.

    Check this out:

    http://www.npr.org/blogs/thetwo-way...judge-decides-fatal-stabbing-was-self-defense

This dude chased down a guy that he saw breaking into his car with a knife and stabbed him to death even though the dude was running away with his back turned to him and was no threat. You can claim self-defense and get out of almost anything.

Here's a story about a crack dealer who used SYG to skate on murder charges for killing two dudes that he had a beef with:

There's a good possibility that Zimmerman gets away with this.

More abuse of the law if I ever read it!

    Well damn....

@ the first story.... this part...

"How can it be Stand Your Ground?" said Ford, a longtime homicide investigator who on his off-day on Monday plans to attend a rally in the Trayvon case in Sanford with his two teenage sons. "It's on [surveillance] video! You can see him stabbing the victim . . ."

I guess by 'audacity" logic is means then America and cops then LOVE....:smt069

That second link? That story was a disgrace to read. From start to finish. All of them should have had that shoot out and just killed each other! Fucking vermin out here, I tell ya! "I'm just out here feeding my family" Fuck him. (and his sympathizers who I know exist out here.)

the difference between tray and those other stories is that one of the cases the dude was copmmitting a crime and the other guy knew his vitcims.

tray wasnt committing a crime and it canm be argued he was standing his ground because Zimmerman was chasing him. as far as Im concern case closed...zim gots to go.

in the state of florida when SYG got instituted violence increased.

Read this shit and it is clear jury tampering. Motherfuckas are trying g to force a mistrial by biasing the jury pool. Him testing bis friends about weed and not liking his parents is regular teenage shit and has absolutely nothing to do with that night. A year I am floored by the fact so many people side with another regular citizen stalking you in the night with a gun and demanding who you are and what you're doing there.. I am still surprised no one has used the fact that the same concern Zimmerman had about the recent break ins in the neighborhood couldn't be the same reason Trayvon attacked him. Plain clothed guy on a cell phone following me in the dark screams set up but hey he's black so he had it coming smh.

Unless Zimmerman knew all of this at the time he shot Martin, it won't be admitted as evidence for the purposes that Zimmerman's lawyers would like. You can't claim that you used deadly force in self-defense based on information that you've discovered after you've used deadly force. At this point it's nothing but character evidence.

Like OJ was the first and only person to get away with murder.

trey's family need to steadily put out there that zimmerman has a serious agressive record.

    http://www.allvoices.com/contributed-news/11808013-george-zimmermans-criminal-records-revealed

Zimmerman's records show that he does have an aggressive personality.

George Zimmerman has been accused of domestic violence, tussling with a police officer and for over-speeding.

In 2005, Zimmerman was arrested and charged with "resisting officer with violence" and "battery of law enforcement officer." Both these felonies are considered third-degree. Due to his desperate attempts, the charges were reduced to "resisting officer without violence" and then the only remaining charge was also completely waived off when he entered an alcohol education program.

In the same year (2005), Zimmerman's ex-fiance, Veronica Zuazo, filed a civil motion for a restraining order, alleging domestic violence. In retaliation, Zimmerman filed for a retraining order against Zuazo and both these claims were resolved with both restraining orders granted.

The next year, in 2006, Zimmerman was charged with speeding. However, that case was dismissed because the officer who charged him failed to show up at the court.

DK is right. This info dump has nothing to do with preparing Zimmerman's defense and everything to do with biasing a future jury with stereotypical evidence to taint a potential jury pool.

Zimmerman's lawyer is playing the race card, in this case that Trayvon deserved to be shot to death because he was young, Black, smoked weed and talked shit with his boyz.

You'd like to think that, but the fact is most Americans don't think it's right to follow someone based on the suspicion they MIGHT commit a crime, who's unarmed(unlike you), initiate a confrontation in the middle of the night, get your ass beat, then pull out your gun, kill a teenage boy and call it 'self defense.':smt009

Race has played a factor in this case from the beginning in George Zimmerman's favor. If you think any Black man could follow a White kid with no criminal record and have the same scenario play out, and NOT BE ARRESTED that night by police, you're high.
