I got an idea: Why don't y'all write a letter to the Russian ambassador to the US in Washington, DC, urging the Russian gov't to do something to stop the racist, senseless violence perpetrated on people of color in Russia.

That is true....my point is that we're not far removed from that type of barbarism....the difference between Russia and WP here is that they are afraid to try that kind of stuff now in the U.S. unless its 5 on 1 or something......some of the WP in the U.S. think all BM carry guns and all BW carry knives (no joke, I have talked to some pretty naive people)

I would stay out alot of places in Eastern Europe that are having economic problems. Corrrupt police,mafia,etc. After the soviet union fell alot of eastern europe has had problems.

 

Today I came across an article about the Chinese in the Russian Far East. Here's a paragraph from the article. The paragraph is headed: No Marriageable Men. Just the Chinese.

Well as I live in France as well as the UK I feel I can answer! Yes in France we do have extreme right wing thugs but there are also left wing ones, Arab Ones, Island Ones, Gypsy Thugs, East European Thugs. France like most countries good people ignore the thugs and the thug behavior is greatly exaggerated by the Media but the police bit by bit catch them .

I had a small thing with this French Moroccan women in my younger years - her brother is one of the kind, a Islam extremists and hated blacks, despised me and called Nigerians "spooks" and "coons." The multiplicity of such behaviour is rapidly growing in Germany as well.

I have been to Russia. I have a lady there, in Omsk which is in Southwestern Siberia.

I can't say I ever felt unsafe or discriminated against while there and I was quite popular with the women (not to brag).

In Siberia there are no people of color. Many Russian youth are into rap music, etc. My friend Andrei learned most of his English by listening to rap.

Moscow and St. Pete are quite different than the rest of Russia. Some racism exist there but it exist everywhere to a certain extent.

Russians are just more vocal about EVERYTHING! I would say there are actually fewer racist there but the ones you have are just more vocal and sometimes more violent.

I wrote this because I know some Russian girls that are looking for ∫lack guys... One of them just joined this forum but she isn't sure what to say, she lives in Moscow.

I know many Russians and if you meet up with them, they'll help you. The problem my friend has is that the few Blacks she meets there (mainly African students) tend to isolate themselves... I don't know if it because of fear of racist attack or just their own doing.....

Anyway, I hope she meets someone nice here who isn't afraid to go meet her.

 

I got to agree with you...the violent racists are basically in St. Petersburg & Moscow. A person of color would not have this problem in say, Vladivostok, which is the Russian city that is furthest east -- near North Korea. The women in Vladivostok, I hear, are stunningly smokin'!!!!

But 4 the rest - ordinary people - i just advise 2 learn some street language u'll need 2 speak while walking.

 

Maybe certain areas aren't bad, but I was talking about Russia as a country earlier, because of the type of reports about skinheads from there.

 

I *knew* it couldn't be *that* bad with racialist attacks **everywhere** in The Former Soviet Union. Good to know.
