I don't have a deep seeded argument against the word. If it wasn't this word, it will ne that word or these terms. I know it was and is used in a negative light toward my ancestors, members of my recent family and friends and myself--which is why I don't use the term. I don't call myself stupid, so why would I degrade myself in that way. Artist/entertainers use it in music more often than not, but I see that as a reflection on one's self and experiences. Often time people that embarce the term, are of limited experience and understanding of the loaded history behind the term. I think that that the situation has gotten to the point that those whom continue to use the term, do so at their own detriment almost.
I'm pretty passive with the Nigga being used by non-black people, but only to a certain extent. I was in target the other day and this group of white kids where calling each other niggas like it was a slave rally.
its the music + we're all getting older these kids/teens growing up now...were literally born in 2000 they've been hearing nigga used in a 'cool' context since birth

i think a lot of people do overlook that africa has/had an influence over latin countries, and people like the Ricans do have black blood in em
and u know people identify with a lot of artists who use the n-word some of them grew up in the same social class, ghettos, whatever..and that's just like their part of their culture
