Blade is also one of those characters that Marvel currently gave license to someone else to, so don't know how that would come about. Buffy & Blade are two different properties licensed out to two different media outlets. It would be a clusterfuck trying to come to common ground, especially with people wanting a piece of any money to be made from a combined movie of those two properties.

Not really. DreamWorks are still hitting pretty strong and to be honest, they seem to hold a solid record. Their most recent movie, The Croods, pulled in a healthy amount of money on their weekend debut which shows they still have a lot of bite left in them.

Competition is still there, but not to the same magnitude as it was. But, there will be more Shreks and Kung Fu Pandas in the future.

Captain America had a serial in the late 40s or early 50s. As did Batman, Blackhawk, Captain Marvel and Superman(actor Kirk Allen was in Blackhawk and he was Superman. When the series was being planned, they wanted Allen to reprise the role because they thought George Reeves was asking for too much money. Allen, wanting to do other things simply said, "Pay him the money." And the rest is history).

shit ive been hearing about that one......

kinda like a exaggerated take on what goes on now

rich/weathly people dont live in the same areas as everyone else, but they end up getting to such lofty stations in life on the backs (and dollars) of the very people they maintain distance from

    nothing new

either you play or you get played

to me the privileged will be the ancestors of the people who make the star trek type civilization where there are no more poor people because they all died off. Especially when you can distance yourself like that.

The privileged would never be able to make a "Star Trek like society" if the poor died off because their labor force would be gone. Even if they replaced people with machines who would repair the machines? Other machines? Then their asses would have to worry about the dreaded AI/robot revolution and the total elimination of the human race. And all because they are some greedy selfish motherfuckers..........

What good is it to be rich if there's no poor people to watch your reality shows, kiss your ass and otherwise make you feel superior?

I got a book for you to read on it but basically there will be very few people to act as servants while the 98% starve and/or systematically killed. The poor are only valuable to the rich for their labor oncw thats no longer needed theyll see us a leeches sucking up the natural resources they want for themselves. Theyll feel justified because in their eyes those who dont produce anything nor own the modes of production shouldnt be allowed to consume anything. It wont happen next week but it will happen

What about a Blade vs. the 30 Days of Night vampires?

Blade would defeat all vampire types. Because he would adapt to the type vampire he is fighting. Especially the 30 days vampires, they are only barely sentient.

They're more animals than opponents. But what about an evolving horde, a la 'I Am Legend'? Watching Blade handle hundreds of them would be cool. Actually, that's pretty much what Blade II was (which is actually my favorite installment of the series). Only the leader Novak was a real challenge.

Nomack was an experiment gone wrong. He was, in my opinion, almost an equal to Blade. But, he was more of an infectious disease spreader. Blade 2 was the best of the trilogy(Guilermo Del Toro was focused on this one in bringing the horror as well as the action. Stephen Norrington, who directed Blade, focused on action, which of course is his specialty). I wondered what would've happened if Snowman(Donnie Yen) would've lived? I had read the graphic novel of Thirty Days Of Night. The vampires in the story and the movie were straight up monsters. If Blade fought them, they would be dead in one night.

Even if for some reason the wealthy allowed the poor to die off they would eventually try to somehow turn those at the bottom end of the wealth ladder into the new servant underclass. Like Petty hinted at, part of why people are so obsessed with wanting to achieve wealth/power/status is the need to lord it over other people & feel they are superior. It's human nature. It's the same reason we will never end wars and achieve total world peace and never completely destroy bigotry. There will always be humans who will feel the need to dominate and feel superior to others on some level as long as humans walk the earth.

The Underworld vampires would be a decent challenge for Blade. That would be an interesting team up with Selene from that series especially since she herself was turned into that franchise's version of a daywalker.

Meh. Not really down with a Justice League movie unless they do either the animated series roster or the current one featuring Cyborg. Definitely not feeling a five member team. They might as well drop the Flash & Green Lantern if that's the case and do a "Trinity" movie featuring just the big three of Superman,Batman & Wonder Woman. I'd go see that before what they are suggesting currently.
