The Republicans heard it for not objecting enough. And they learned somewhat from it. Now when one of them says something fucked up, they do try to shut it down. Think the recent 'wetbacks' comment. The GOP came out and hard down on him. And focusing on war and unemployment is something we do all over this section ...but that's not for this thread. AB said he was a gossip fiend so who are we not to humor him.
So giving a women a complement on her looks is sexist now? It's not like he smacked her on the ass and said "Ok honey, go get us some coffee while the men talk business".
Damn!! This thread was supposed to be all in good fun. But if a Republican had said it, we know it would have been the next battle in the GOP's war against women. How many men on here compliment women they work with on their appearance??:smt069 It can be touchy IMO. For instance I have a minor woman's boot fetish and that's usually the most I'll ever say to female colleague I'm familiar with, 'nice boots.' Or I may speak on whether or not I think she looks tired, is getting enough rest, or looks refreshed from a vacation. But telling here how GOOD she looks?? Naw, I don't do that as a rule.
I'm impressed you said this. Not just because it shows you aren't so completely Left off into the Pacific, but you made a damn good point too! Speaking of touchy, my male-friend this morning asked me for my opinion on whether making the thumbs up gesture to another male regarding a female co-worker was sexual harrasment. A female co-worker had spoken to them and walked off which he then made the gesture. Apparently the male told him, "that might get you in trouble'. I told him as long as he didn't say anything out loud I don't think a gesture only the man he was conversing with saw would become an issue. I also felt like it's effing ridiculous men feel this raked. I get there has been some horrible harassment & sexism for women and it has to swing the other way, but seriously when will the pendulum calm down.
Shit careful you don't want to wake the sleeping giants up in here lol. But it has gotten to a point where men do not want to converse with women at their jobs outside of the most sterile and robotic interactions. I truly get how some white men feel about black people in the work place now, its like every gesture every damn word is looked at something potentially discriminatory. Its really sad and will only hurt us all in the long run.
The president is a pussy I woulda told them mothafuckas to get off my nuts, badboy style He's sorry for giving a woman who gets all dressed up a compliment The whole modeling industry needs to be shut the fuck down
Yeah, it's such a weird time we are in. I don't remember it being this extreme. At this rate, in 30 years time, they will look back in horror and gasp "can you believe men and women actually talked to each other??" SMH.
Ironically if they tried to separate men and women by gender someone would bitch and call it biased and the same person would bitch about harassment in a coed situation. These cry babies make the work place unbearable for everyone
I have a question tho.... How come the Prez never introduced Hilliary as "the most Beautiful Head of State in the country!"? . "*sigh* he never called me that" . "Oh well, at least Bill still wants me."
She's old and she ain't cute. She must be a fascinating woman and I hope the dems pic her in 2016 she has extensive experience in politics and knows how to negogiate with the right. Or if the Republicans can find someone who is center right like Ron Paul who is a little younger and not quite xenophobic that would be great too
Yeah, so the reason we have so much violence is because we let 15 year olds play call of duty?? :smt103:smt030 By no means is a vote for Hiliary tantamount to a vote for Bill. Nevermind the violence in cartoons, movies and music; hey lets censor all of it. Thoses cap guns should be illegal too, because everyone I grew up with turned into violent criminals like myself because we had them
