Ahhhh the steps of a dickhead ex accepting that he will never have you again. My heart goes out to you. I'm divorced and have been for a few years now, but my ex still seems to make it his mission to try to upset me and make my life miserable. Hugs
That's what I worry about...that this will never end! It's daunting to even think about. I was SO hoping he and I could work this out as adults (wishful thinking, I know).
I envy those who can do that and we used to be able to up until an ugly incident between him, the fetus he calls a gig and myself on nye 2011/12. Shits been absolutely ugly between him and I since. Hope things improve for you. The only advice i can give is dont bite or react when he starts on you, he wins then. Xxxx
I've definitely learned not to bite back (he's about 3x my size, and mad as hell right now)! I'll continue to be the bigger person in the hopes that things can become somewhat peaceful. Thank you for the advise, it really is helpful
Just got banged for an increase. One baby mother gets $1400/mnth, the other one just went up from $690 to $1250. Smh. Only reason she took me for an increase is because I filed for joint custoday. So yeah...fuck NYS Child Support Enforcement Agency...and the horse it rode in on!!!
damn! i have it easy on the monthly front, $750 for 2 children but my monthly flights to the east coast (air, hotel, flights) are my form of support. whats f'ed is they transferred my case to LA county and they haven't been giving me credit. in return their records are wrong and they took $9k out of my return... now my lawyer is seeing what can be done about all this.
Man NY they're getting 17% of your income for each child, plus what they call "add-ons" (health care, day care, education). They do however adjust your income according to what you pay for any previous child support case. That's why my daughter's mother only got $690 at first, because they adjusted what I pay my son's mother. But after I took her for joint custody...she took me for the daycare add-on, so I'm responsible for half of that on top of the $690, which comes out to $1250/mnth. It comes out of my check before I even see it. FUCK NYS CHILD SUPPORT AGAIN!!!
brings a whole new meaning to its cheaper to keep her. in about 7 years ill be in a place where my own company will be paying me close to unemployment wages and thats all ill say about that.
Do they have the potential to earn law in your state? Dumb a$$ physician from Long Island left his job at a hospital to work for Mickey Deez, so NYS passed the potential to earn law. Meaning if you purposely leave a high paying job, your ordered amount will stay the same. Thing is, if you genuinely lose your job, you may be forced to work two jobs if the court deems you have the potential to earn more, and you're working a lesser paying job than your previous one. Women got it sown in NY bruh. I don't complain...just hate the system cause it penalizes good dads like me. And rewards money hungry women like my exes. Did I mention FUCK NYS CHILD SUPPORT?!?!
not sure but ill find out. i know when i initially filled out my income and expense report i was on unemployment and the two times after it it just worked out that i was on unemployment each time. God is good isnt he.
Man, the f*cked up part is my ex wife lives at home with her parents. No bills. No rent. No expenses at all. And she works. So that $1400 is just balling $ for her every month. But I don't mind paying to keep those 2 away from me. We don't even converse if it doesn't involve my children.
at least your kids live in the same state. when i cut off my daughters mom financially after we split, she kidnapped my daughters from Cali to NC the day I tried to serve her custody papers and have been fighting to get them back to Cali for over 3 years now.
Men know how to work the system also. I'm going to have to pay my perfectly-capable-of-working ex husband alimony because I've supported our family for the last 5 years. Somehow I'm being punished for working my ass off to give us the lifestyle we desired. Smh...
Damn, you're getting screwed! :-| Child support is supposed to cover that the child and parent have a roof over their head. She has to declare that she pays no rent, etc. You should have your lawyer look into that.
No she doesn't...not in NYS. It varies from state to state. Here, the custodial parent is entitled to 17% of the non-custodial parents income period.
