I did not realize a WW thinks in his mind "OMG, I wonder if this black guy is into WW/into me".

Heck yea we have to think about it. There are bm out there who have no interest in ww! That's why when I see a gorgeous bm...the first thing running through my head is "I wonder if he dates white girls". If he's with a white woman when I see him, the cat's out of the bag so I tend to let my guard down more.

So yes...just as bm think about this, so do a lot of ww.

I have a hard time, sometimes...distinguishing if a bm who I find attractive or am drawn to for some reason might be into me (ww). I have a confident personality, so naturally, I think men who like that sort of confidence like to talk to me in general. But heck yeah, I definitely wonder about a bm if I am not certain he dates ww.

 

What planet do you women live on lol. Bm don't generally have racial hangups that'll keep them away from white women. If a dude doesn't show interest its because he's not aware that you're interested or his girl is there. PERIOD

 

I have a question: Within in most races, like usually marries like. Whites marry whites, Asians marry Asians, blacks marry blacks, etc. Why would a WW assume that a BM would be into her??? It sounds as though we, as WW, should just know that BM want to date us, which is not true across the board!!! Having been on dating sites and meeting some BM, many are ONLY interested in dating BW. They flat out aren't interested in WW because that's not what they're attracted to. But some here make it sound like it's every BM's dream to date a WW. Or am I misunderstanding something? I've wondered this about a number of comments made to that effect.

 

Im glad you asked. Personally I think black people in general dont have the same racial hang ups other races have so ots not necessarily a dream for bm to date ww its just we as a group are far more open to all races. As far as Ive seen there is no such thing as an off limits race of people to us. Truthfully we have nothing to lose in the racial game since we're considered to be on the bottom anyway. For other races who "stick to their own" a lot of it comes from holding on to arbitrary traditions and trying to make sure hey dont slip down the racial ladder becaise every Asian who wants to stick to their own all that shit goes out the window once its someone white showing interest same with Latinos. In terms of blacks I think the advantage of being on the bottom is youre not burdened with the concept of losing anything if you date otside your "race". The black people who arent willing to date whitr people usually have hang ups about a past they rarely experienced of at all and/or trying to prove something to themselves because bottom line hot is hot.

 

No you're absolutely right. Most of my friends prefer only BW...even 2 of my white friends, lol.

 

The ww I know also have no racial hang ups that would keep them from dating a bm. I have known guys who only dated bw...heck I dated one lol. He swore up and down that he had nothing in common with ww and that he'd never be able to seriously date one. He and I started hanging out more and more, and guess who came crawling to my doorstep wanting to be my man lol. Some people are closed minded until they're exposed to the other side. I can appreciate the fact that that goes for both men and women. The simple truth is that not all bm will date ww. Unless I know the guy likes ww, or he's sending strong signals...I won't approach him. Period.

I guess this is an unknown concept to me. I never thought of one race as being superior or inferior to another. Different, but not better or worse. And I know you will say that's because I've been sheltered by my "white privilege" - again, a concept that's foreign to me. Well, at least until I got on here and came to understand how BM look at things.

 

Lol thats why I said in general boo. I dont pretend to knpw what every black man thinks but my I pay attention to cultural trends and last time I checked black families didnt disown their kids for bringing men of other races home and Ive yet to hear of anyone puting absoluty no white men on their dating profiles. There is a culture of aversion that is lowly being chipped away but still exists when a white person dates outside of their race especiay with bm.

 

This is largely why my ex bf and I are no longer together. He says he can't handle the IR thing (which is true), but I also believe it's more because he is still very much attracted to BW and it was uncomfortable being with me, knowing that there was still an immense pull towards BW.

Depends on what part of the Bronx you're from. For instance, my brothers grew up on Kingsbridge, predominantly latino, my brothers even speak spanish fluently. They're attracted to latino women primarily. I grew up in Parkchester, predominantly black, the few latino friends that I know, that I grew up with, don't even speak spanish, and love BW. There was a couple of white dudes that grew up with us, and they like BW too.
